Went to the Little Theatre of WS at the HanesBrand Theatre this past weekend to see the play Ma Rainey. Located in the heart of downtown you can conveniently grab a bite to eat and walk to the theatre after. There is $5.00 paid parking diagonally across the street. There is a door greeter as soon as you walk up. The lobby is small and cozy with restrooms and a small concession stand for drinks and snacks, including wine. Tickets to their events can be purchased ahead or at the door, but some events sell out quickly. The staff is friendly and direct you to your seats. As for this play, it was both funny and emotional and really made you think about people and their past trauma and emotions. The seats were comfortable but can be noisy when someone gets up during the show to use the restrooms. The production itself was on point and entertaining. I will definitely continue to frequent them and catch other shows. Definitely an affordable night out.

I’ve been a patron of The Little Theatre of Winston Salem since 2011. The quality of every production I’ve ever seen is absolutely phenomenal! (And I’ve seen a lot) They have been around for almost 100 years FOR A REASON! From their splashy musicals to their heart wrenching drama’s to their small, more experimental works, there’s always a level of professionalism in everything they do. And not to mention their educational programming is on another level. They have classes for All Ages (adults included) I cannot say enough wonderful things about this organization and I look forward to seeing what they do next!

Hanes Theater is an excellent venue..any seat is good..ticket price is reasonable..enjoy reception on opening nights. Oklahoma is a fantastic show..cast is great .but particularly enjoyed Ado Annie and Will.

I went to see The Little Shop of Horrors and it was Amazing! The voices, the costumes, the sets, the customer service was top tier. I definitely recommend.

The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem's 'A Christmas Carol' was a triumph! The actor portraying Scrooge delivered a powerful and nuanced performance, masterfully capturing the character's transformation from bitter miser to compassionate man. Young Belle, a pivotal figure in Scrooge's past, shone with a radiant innocence and her performance was truly unforgettable. This production was a captivating and moving theatrical experience. The performances by Young Belle, Tiny Tim, Scrooge, and Marley were the most memorable. I hope to see these actors again!
