A wonderful space in Baltimore offering classes and space to learn and practice the basics about home care (plumbing/electrical/wall repair…), wood working, bicycle care, gardening and related arts, sewing, and much more. Every class instructor (I’ve had 6 so far) has been kind, patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic- it’s their craft. You learn so much in a single class and get practical application experience that YouTube cannot offer virtually. As a novice of nearly everything they offer, the organization and space has given me confidence and piqued my interests to keep learning and practicing/arting.

The tool area is a bit disorganized, but they have a pretty wide variety of stuff. The workshop and the classroom are great, though. The classes they offer are cool. And the staff is helpful and friendly.

The Station North Tool Library would be an amazing place even if it didn't contribute to the community, but guess what, they are fantastic with the community. Classes are useful, the tool library itself is vast, the volunteers are delightful human beings, and everything about their pricing encourages everyone to be a part of the library (with their sliding scale). I'm including pictures from my awesome knife making class - i highly recommend it or whatever other class you may want to take!

We moved here and had a lot of our stuff stilled packed away. We heard about this place from a neighbor, so we went to check it out. It is a library for tools that you check out (hence the name). Everything from yard tools to air compressors, ladders, sanders, tile cutters etc. They also offer classes, which we will be checking into.
