It is a nice train station. It is much smaller than major stations such as Penn Station, Grand Centratral. This makes everything very accessible.

Great historic station with many connections in Boston. Though service is infrequent, the station is clean with many food places.

South Station has a world almost inside a place. The only other time I've seen this was down at Massachusetts Avenue. I would like to point out that homeless people are not allowed inside to just hang out. It's a very clean train station and very busy it's easy to get lost but at the same time, Don't. You don't want to sit all day waiting on transportation. I traveled from Dorchester Uphams Corner to South Station to Worcester and back. Total time: 3 hours 45 minutes on the trains.

This station is a poor reflection on a city of this size. It is dank and very dirty. The washrooms are very filthy and some of the sinks do not work in the women's washroom. Metal fixtures like the doors show rust and are also filthy. My husband reported needles and empty liquor bottles on the floors. As well, some stalls were missing doors. Both washrooms stink. It would take a great deal of time to clean the hall and the washrooms to an acceptable standard. But it should be undertaken and then maintained. We are from another country and think that this station is an embarrassment to Boston.

Such a beautiful and historic building. I managed to take a walking tour of the building from Linda Perlman, which was highly insightful into the rich history of South Station. The terminal feels quite grand, and connections are fairly easy to make. Also good dining options within the building.
