I go to the South Plains Fair every year and while the family is entertained and we keep going back, I'm slightly disappointed every time. It's very expensive to visit this fair and it doesn't have as much fun of an environment as other fairs I have been too in other places in the country, but it's something to do. To be completely fair in my review, I find everything other than the visiting amusement park area to be pretty good and great value for the entrance price, but the rides and games will drain your wallet so fast unless you are there on a wrist band day. I really like the scheduled shows throughout the day and the animal areas the most when visiting this fair.

Stopped by during fair days for lunch at a food station. Options for food are VERY limited as most booths have the same food/drinks. Found the food to be expectedly over priced for mediocre quality. Would not come back for a lunch as I could have enjoyed a sit down restaurant for equal or less even after tip. Far too crowded to even see where most lines start for each food station.

I’ve gone to the fair practically every year but this year has changed that completely. To start me and my roomate were scammed by one of the game booths. We were told it was a free shot and my roommate was actually playing while I was just doing the free shot but next thing we know he charges both of us 30$! There was more but this was the main issue.

It's the fair. Expensive...dirty. sure the rides are fun. Some of the shows are good and fun. Pig races..lol. the arts building. Just not my thing anymore. First time I've been in 20 years.
