One of the worst companies I've ever done business with. I applied for a relatively small loan and was denied, despite my cosigner and I both having 700 credit scores. I asked if there was another reason why my application was rejected, and they said it was strictly because we didn't meet the credit score requirements. They said over the phone the minimum was 670, yet my cosigner and I well exceed that. When I asked to have an appeal in person, the representative on the phone said, "You can come here, but I'm not quite sure you'll get the conversation you're looking to have." I was blown away by that customer service. If you meet all the requirements by a landslide and still don't get provided a loan, I don't quite get the point of this loan company. It's been a more stressful process to navigate college because of this company.

After spending a month preparing my application for the New Jersey STEM Loan Redemption Program, my submission was denied for what felt like an arbitrary reason, despite meeting the listed qualifications. The terms are so narrowly defined that it seems only a fraction of applicants realistically qualify, excluding many who actually need the support. I tried escalating the issue multiple times, but got nowhere. Very frustrating experience.

DO NOT OBTAIN A STUDENT LOAN WITH NJHESAA!!! Parents, please don’t set your children up for headaches & failure down the road, after graduation. They WILL NOT work with you for repayment. They are just money hungry. They send you in circles to help with repayment, deferment etc. All for it to be denied! If I could give zero stars I would because honestly this agency is a waste! If I could go back in time, this would be the LAST company I would contact for a loan. BEWARE!!

Horrible customer service. If you’re going to hire a person to do phone calls at least have someone that speaks proper English and not a nasty accent that a rock can’t understand. Very rude customer service. Horrible they are the reason I dropped out of college. Useless service and horrible choices of employees.

WEBSITE IS DOWN AGAIN...FIX IT! Trying to make a payment, but it'll go against MY credit due to YOUR incompetency! THIS AGENCY/COMPANY OR WHATEVER IT IS, IS A COMPLETE ALL AROUND DISASTER...AVOID IT AND BORROW ELSEWHERE!!!
