Wow. What a gem. We have been in the area for 5 months and have visited 4 times. For people who maybe go to the movies once per year, this speaks volumes. The experience of seeing a film in an old theater with old theater atmosphere is unmatched. Their curation of films is impeccable, especially the older films. Such a delight to see old movies on a big screen. Bought the ticket book and will buy again.

Very old timey, I guess that’s the idea here. Seats need to be updated, wonder if there are bugs or mites - yikes! The service was notably very friendly. You’re asked for your ticket and even when mine was bought online (digital), they could look up the transaction that I bought online by just giving my name! The popcorn was not warm and can’t taste the butter they asked if I wanted some. They have home baked goods like brownies and baklava, wonder whose home they came from, no labels of ingredients or when they’re good until! Neat part is that there is a balcony section. My first time here, had always wanted to go in the almost 7 years that I relocated to VA Beach from NoVA/DC area. Speaking of which the draw of this theatre is that they show independent films, love it! Wish they have more choices though, only two film showings per day. Am watching Black Bag today, should be a good spy thriller movie starring Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender.

I saw Downton Abby last Sunday at 2pm. Great sound and great prices to boot. I didn't buy anything this time for my show but it did smell so delicious when you walked in. Love this place so much.

What a great place to watch classic and Indie movies! We went to the matinee showing of The Sting. The picture quality and sound were excellent and the staff friendly and helpful, and we were impressed by the attendance on a Tuesday at 1pm. Many restaurants in walking distance of the theater.

Truly a great place to "experience" a film. This is definitely not a normal theater you don't just go to watch a film, you go to experience it. From the moment you walk up to the doors to you leaving the film you're greeted with very nice and kind workers. It's a 1 theater show with a balcony that provides a nice blend of vintage and modern feel. They have throw back films, new films and more. The popcorn is great, they have cookies and your standard candies. Definitely a must see if your visiting or just trying to do something new around town
