Flew into here this past weekend. No one greeted us and we had to call on their frequency to get their attention. BEAUTIFUL FBO. One of the nicest I've been in. However, my aircraft has both a main tank and wingtip tanks. I asked for a main topoff only. I go out to the airplane and sure enough fuel was put into the wingtip tanks and not the main tank. Thus getting 20 extra gallons I didn't want. At $7.73 a gallon, that was an expensive mistake on their part. I specifically mentioned to the front desk to not do this. No reimbursement was offered. The fuel lineman should ask before filling up.

Modern has new management. Unfortunately not Texas friendly! I will miss my go to FBO in DFW. Extra fees never discussed when flying in so beware.

If you're flying into KFTW, I recommend going to Texas Jet. I typically fly into KFTW twice a month and recently contacted Modern Aviation a couple of days before my arrival to see if they could match the 50-cent fuel discount that Texas Jet had offered me. They confirmed they could. However, upon arrival, no one marshaled my aircraft for about a minute or two. After securing a courtesy car and returning later, a line crew member informed me they had to hold my tail down because another aircraft was arriving, and my plane could have flipped. If they were aware of the situation, they should have taken the initiative to tie down or relocate my aircraft. When I inquired inside about the fuel discount I was promised, I was told they were unable to honor it, despite the assurance I received over the phone. While the discount itself may not seem significant, I had initially considered trying out Texas Jet but opted for Modern Aviation based on their commitment to match the price. After my experience, I can’t recommend Modern Aviation for small general aviation aircraft—they seem to prioritize larger clients. Texas Jet, on the other hand, values everyone.

Had a great turn here today. Staff was very quick to help sort out our logistics on the ramp. Fuel truck quickly arrived and the linemen and women were very attendant. The front desk service was first class. A very helpful and nice lady named Angela helped us out inside. Love the personal touch you get at these smaller FBOs compared to the consistently only average support from the “big two” other ones. Highly recommend and big thanks to American Aero and their staff.
