(Disclaimer: This review is aimed towards the administration and the housing department, NOT towards the professors, so far my professors have been mostly great!) Alright let's begin. This school has a housing policy that requires full time students to live 3 years on campus, cost of living on campus per semester starts at $5,300. comparatively nearby apartments are much cheaper than this. Additionally, you are given the idea that your housing situation improves within the 3 year required on campus living. This is a flat out lie as housing lottery is biased towards sports and Greek life. If you are not a member of either, have fun because you will live in the same living conditions all 3 years. Living conditions that are worse than Soviet communal living as Oak hall has only one kitchen in a building with 500 people, one laundry room, water problems, etc. Point is, this school scams you with bogus standards and does not care about well performing students and only about athletes and Greek life. EDIT: university is currently financially imploding and apparently has been since at least 2021. They just fired over 40 professors with more rumored of being fired. Yeah donโt send your kids hereโฆ

2024-2025 administration in Howard building not nice at all. The Bursar can't explain what is the lump sum of the tuition or provide an itemized bill. Of course pitting majors against each other. showing preferences to Aviation, nursing, engineering athletes Greek life creates a divide of what major is better than other major like Political Science, Sociology Psychology students don't get the same treatment. The cash cow majors for JU is teh focus. The environment is toxic. The administration so quick to encourage to take a loan for payment. JU Scholarship is a limited intentionally also a bait so you have to pay out of pocket there is always a balance. Dorms despicable $8,000 per semester Williams Hall and Oak Hall Black mold if your kids have allergies they won't survive the black mold in these rooms. The Cafeteria food is horrible not cooked will get sick from the cafe food. I give the school 2 stars because of the teachers they really care for the students that they teach and want them to succeed. Only right thing JU did is hire good and amazing teachers besides that the school is not worth the high price tag.
