This is a MUST for anyone who loves WWII Aviation history. There is a lot to see here, and it's one of the most complete WWII airbase left. So many historical buildings. I wish I had been able to do the tour, there was some places I couldn't go on the self guided, but it's well worth the trip and the time investment! The fact that this is the very airfield where they trained so many bomber crews, and even trained the crews for the atomic bombings, is just incredible. The hangar that housed the Enola Gay is still here and being restored, maybe some day that very aircraft will once again fill the space inside....

Way too much to absorb in one day! We will have to come back! Learned some tidbits they couldn't put into history books (for obvious reasons) and enjoyed touring the buildings. Also learned that several movies were filmed there across several decades. Pretty cool to see the Jailbird plane from Con Air. Definitely worth a stop even if just for the afternoon!

Absolutely awesome! I love history and I didn't realize there was SO MUCH here! We got there too late to tour the museum but just being able to drive up, see the "Jail Bird" and then drive down to the Enola Gay Hangar was great!

What a great place. Well worth a visit if you’re into your WW2 or aviation history, a very well kept and well run museum. Hats off to all involved.

What a beautiful day to explore the town of an old Fort. A historic place that was once a great destination for many people. A great honor to have been able to share this historic location with you all. My husband and I were fortunate enough to meet the wonderful people working there that helped us better understand the place. They also have a bathroom and upstairs lounge with a view of the past. The Museum wasn’t open on a Sunday but they allowed us to have a great time together and let us enjoy our day. Thank you to the Staff members. So, from Monday to Saturday they have a great 😊 tour for everyone to see the Museum go check out their websites because it’s so important to share and visit them. The Museum is open to everyone who wants to visit. We were blessed to have seen it and have enjoyed every moment of it and as well as being able to share it with others.
