I've been flying out of KHEG for a decade. It's a well-kept facility. They've made beneficial improvements to the FBO as well as making needed runway-related enhancements. The FBO staff ensures field operations are safe. Absolutely no complaints regarding the use of this facility.

Best recreational airfield in the southeast U.S. due to upgraded facilities and friendly, professional FBO staff. Pilot service oriented. Great maintenance facility and flight school also. Be cautious of busy airspace in NE Florida.

Great little airport 3 minutes from the wife's family house. I knew they would be closed on Christmas so I called ahead and asked for the gate code. They were very friendly, I think the guy's name was Brian? They had ropes on the ground to use for tie downs and gates to easily get in and out of to the plane. I plan to take more of these flights up from Kissimmee in the future, great little place.
