DON'T RISK IT. Ive had bad airline experiences before, but using frontier here was BY FAR the worst. The policies and behavior this airline and its employees have should be borderline illegal. My 7pm sunday flight from Sea to Phx was 1st delayed an hour for "maintenance". Then another hour. Then another. Then finally it was cancelled at 10pm. During this 4 hour span, gate workers gave absolutely no announcements, explanations, updates, or apologies to the packed terminal. The only updates given were through their website which just said "delayed" We were then forced to wait 30 mins in line to talk to gate workers to transfer flights & get hotels. After explaining i had purchased 3rd party flight insurance (offered directly on Frontier's website during their checkout), the employee says he's never heard of it or the insurer, but that he'd speak to his manager. He assured me 100% my flight & hotel would be comped and provided at no charge, but that i must wait for an email voucher that would be sent out after everyone was dealt with. About 30 other people were told the same. We all wait 30 mins before all the gate employees simply grab their stuff and leave in a group without a word or update. I and some others chase them down and ask whats going on. They say the email will be sent in a few mins and it will handle everything. Me and the 30 other people wait another 30 mins till 12am before we all finally realize no email is being sent, and that we were completely lied to. I check all Frontier gates and their check in booths, and literally every Frintier employee in the airport had left. I check Frontie's next available flights: 1 flight at 8pm the next day with an 8+ hour layover in nevada, and no other options. Are you kidding me???? Thank god i got 3rd party insurance, and was able to book an Alaska flight for 6am that morning. I then drastically overpay on the worst motel ive ever stayed at (it was close, one of the cheapest, and i was only staying 5 hours) before coming back in the morning. STILL NOT A SINGLE FRONTIER EMPLOYEE IN THE AIRPORT from 5:30am-7am, so I'm forced to call customer service after my flight. On the phone, i reach the loudest indian call center i have spoken to. At least 8 other phone calls can be heard in the background. I tell her my experience and how a comped hotel was promised to me, only for her to offer a $50 coupon for one of their future flights. I press her about my hotel fees and the wasted time/effort they'd caused me, only for her to try to BLAME ME. she said it was MY mistake since i didnt call before my flight to handle this. They seriously expected me to call and deal with this between 12am-7am the monday morning of my 7am flight after a weekend trip and THEM canceling my flight before purposely LYING TO ME saying theyd contact me AND wasting my time while completely ignoring me. I told her that her flight coupon is complete garbage and to keep it, since i will never fly with them again. Lesson learned: cheap airlines are NEVER worth it. If you still risk it, 110% get the 3rd party cancelation insurance.

terrible experience. I arrived at the front desk but there no one. They didn't work more than hour before departure. I passed security zone and was at boarding desk 1 hour before departure. But representative said no way for flight. She didn't provide her name, talked very unpleasant. Never fly with Frontier. Don't recommend Frontier

All legs of our flights were on time and really seamless. Only glitch was a check in desk person apparently calling out sick with the airline not replacing that person. So, just one lady trying to handle a line that took over an hour to get through to check a bag. We arrived almost 3 hours early and wasn’t able to check in at that time (no line), and asked to come back 30 minutes later (chaos in the check-in line). Kudos to check-in agent 7/26 Seattle airport in the morning. She handled herself with grace and professionalism under pressure. Only other beef is that the airline gave away free exit row seats on both legs, kinda painful when you’ve paid for these seats.

Because of this airline’s useless delay, I couldn’t even see my mom before going to my rave. She made her best chicken soup for me, and I ended up eating it cold. This trampled on my mother’s love, which I cannot accept. The least the airline should do is compensate me with an upgraded seat.

This is without a doubt the worst airline experience of my life. Frontier robbed us at every single step. • I paid $54 for one checked bag up to 40 lbs, but because my bag was only 8 pounds over, they demanded another $100 on top of that. • They charge $25 per person if you don’t check in yourself. The check-in process is intentionally complicated: you have to download their app, do part of it there, then go to a kiosk (which wasn’t even working). If you ask for help at the counter, they charge you again – $25 per person just for the agent to do what should be basic service. • The most outrageous part: they intentionally separated me from my 2-year-old child, not once but on both flights (outbound and return), even though the plane was about 30% empty. Then they tried to charge me another $100 just to sit next to my own toddler. This isn’t a mistake — it’s a deliberate practice to extort families. Absolutely inhumane. The flight itself was a complete nightmare: • The plane was delayed over 3 hours, and during that entire time they didn’t even provide free water – not for adults, not even for kids. Instead, they kept trying to sell us drinks and snacks. Truly unbelievable. • On board, someone got sick and the crew was completely unprepared. They kept running back and forth with the defibrillator and oxygen tank, pretending to act, but clearly had no idea what to do. It was chaos. • After what was supposed to be a 2-hour flight, it turned into a 10-hour ordeal. They lost our bags, had no staff at baggage claim, and didn’t even display which carousel the luggage would come out on. It was like playing a guessing game to find your own bag. • And worst of all: when we finally landed, they didn’t even bring us to a jet bridge. They forced us to get off the plane on the runway and left us outside on the cold tarmac in just our t-shirts for an hour. Absolutely unacceptable treatment. I honestly don’t understand how authorities allow this company to keep operating. It is unsafe, unprofessional, and purely focused on ripping people off. I will never fly Frontier again. Not only that – I would rather stay home than ever risk stepping on one of their planes again.
