Not real half about making an appointment and then waiting for over 30 minutes. I like to be on time for my appointments and expect the same from the state of Colorado. But then it only took right at 10 minutes to renew my license so not too much time wasted. Just seems if the actual work is so fast, they could plan their appointments better.

I had scheduled my DMV appointment a month in advance but still had to wait for over an hour past my scheduled time. When I asked about the delay, the staff simply said they were short-staffed and told me, โIf you want, you can cancel.โ There was no apology or attempt to manage the situation, which felt very unprofessional. If the office is short-staffed or experiencing delays, that information should be mentioned on the appointment website, or the scheduling system should allow for adequate time gaps between appointments to avoid long wait times. Itโs very frustrating to plan ahead and still face such delays without proper communication.

They have an awful appointment-only system. No walk-inโs and if you want to get an appointment, you will be looking at at least 3 weeks from now. I have a non resident work visa and appointments cannot be done online in this case. I call the appointment number, and after having to listen to all their unskippable bs, they hung up on me saying that the line is too long. The only way to make an appointment is to actually go to the place. What a ridiculous system.

Systems were slow today and it took much longer than expected to get seen for my scheduled appointment. That being said the employees were all very courteous, i was greeted immediately upon entry and given a ticket. They kept the waiting room updated on the delays as well. Derek helped me at the desk and he seemed knowledgeable about the CDL side of licensing which helped ease my mind knowing my CDL wasnt going to get accidentally downgraded via clerical error.

Made an appointment over a month ago for my father-in-law to get his Colorado ID. We show up for his 1 PM appointment at 1245. At 1310, I inquired as to why we have not been called yet. Turns out that they are aware that they are running at least an hour late. Appointments are agreements made in advance, and should be given priority over all walk-ins. That's why they exist. When you know you are running late, they should AT LEAST have the decency to send a notification to the interested parties so they can attempt to adjust their schedule accordingly. Sitting here in the waiting room, at least half the people here are complaining about their appointment, and some have had to walk out and return to work. Personally, I believe you should have to perform the agreed upon services free of charge if you break such an agreement by 15 minutes or more. If there's no penalty involved, then there is probably no pressure to fix such a broken system. Would you allow us to show up an hour late to the appointment? I think not. This needs addressing immediately!!!
