I was referred to this school by several previous students. I completed my multi engine in a Diamond DA42 after an initial walk in appointment. Very well equipped G1000 glass cockpit. The two DA42 I flew were from about 2007/8. None of that 1965 antique airplane, 8 gas tank configuration, 6 pack, 10 things on the squak list kind of stuff. Nice and easy airplanes to allow students to get through the course faster, by focusing on the maneuvers and the OEI (One Engine Inoperative) procedures. This is one of the few schools with various instructors, so I was able to match my needs with the best instructor. Chennault is also one of the few (if any) schools in Las Vegas with excellent ground school classes. I sat in at least 3-4 repeat ground school classes to really nail down the oral materials...and it helped. I personally don't like figuring out and teaching myself everything alone at home. I prefer the in-person one on one quality teaching that Chennault also offers for those that want that style of teaching. Extremely well organized power points and PDF to take with you to study. Chennault has at least 5 full time mechanics, thereby enhancing and smoothing out the process with a great team of guys that work their butts off in the heat of the summer. Making sure the airplanes were well taken care of. Safety First!!! Schedules are well organized via online app. Lots of staff at the front desk. Excellent paperwork requirements to fill out takeoff, landing, weight and balance information prior to checking out each plane for a flight. Certainly keeps you on your toes with all the basics. Prices are competitive and instructors take their teaching lessons very seriously. I highly recommend Chennault for your next (or first) flight certificate!

Absolutely the best flight school I've ever trained with. They made our EASA-to-FAA PPL conversion not just smooth — but truly unforgettable. Everything is top-notch: from the fleet’s quality to the stunning desert scenery around Vegas. Chennault Flying Service is an amazing flight school!!!If you’re interested in learning how to fly and are the Metropolitan Las Vegas area, check this place out! Everyone from the front desk to maintenance were friendly and professional! Dakota gave me a pretty cool tour of the facilities. Matt Hemenway is a great instructor, super knowledgeable and will keep you safe. Annabel Jackson hooked me up through the entire process, made things smooth. Just great all around. I flew the C-172 Cessna Redhawk which is my personal favorite rn but they have a large fleeeeet of DA’s..one day I’ll try those out too. I even lost my passport and Mario and his crew took the time of his day to find it in the airplane for. Too many cool people to name.
