Trained at Black Tie this week while I was visiting from Canada. I’ve been to probably 20+ different gyms in my years training and black tie is up there with the best of them. Great gym and super nice people. High level guys throughout the belt levels. Corey was awesome and taught a lesson in the gi, he even made adjustments throughout that applied to no gi grips. 10/10!!! Thanks so much for having me!

This is a great place to train in the Fort Meyers area! The coach has a great vibe and is an active competitor on the jiu jitsu scene! In addition all his students were welcoming and friendly. My girlfriend and I are in town visiting for 3 days and we attended 2 amazing classes. The nighttime BJJ class was absolutely packed from wall to wall and Corey still made time to give us technical details despite only knowing us for one day. This place is the real deal and I appreciate Corey for welcoming us in. The stuff he taught was very applicable and stuff we could immediately implement into our jiu jitsu game!

Dropped in with Black Tie a few times now in the weekends. I’m out of town regularly away from my home gym and when I’m able to get some cross training in, Black Tie has been an awesome place to go. Both Corey and Alejandro are great. The last two classes I went to have been structured similarly with a central lesson place showing a series of moves based off a continuing curriculum. I’m only about to come for 1 day a month, so am missing the overall curriculum, but for that one day that I’m there I can jump right in and pick up some really high level useful techniques. The guys regularly compete at local competitions. The walls are covered with medals, belts, and banners. Even competing against some of their guys, they have welcomed me in and made me feel like part of the family. If I lived in Cape Coral and it wasn’t a 90 minute drive to get there, they would be a solid pick to call home.

I dropped into Black Tie Cape Coral this week. I watched a packed kids class and spoke with some members. The owner was kind enough to let me join the adult class. The instructor AJ broke down positions well and every person I rolled with was super welcoming. Seems like a great gym!

It’s been alittle over 3 years my son Rylan has been training here! Starting out in this super small gym on Del Prado and has grown to something spectacular at the bigger location, it’s already time for another upgrade, and great for the community of Cape Coral. The Professor and all the coaches under him are extremely great with the younger students. Helping during and after class and taking time out whenever possible to help. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a place give this place a shot. From day one my son has felt at home there, he has completed so many times, win or lose it’s always a positive experience!
