I can't get a person to speak with when I need to speak to a human and can't get down to the office in person and it does not matter what office I call. I am needing to update things on my account and can't do it due to this fact In which is causing me a butt load of problems because I need to figure out what's going on with my food stamps card which has stopped working after I got most of the groceries but needed to get a few more items and the card no longer worked after that.

Ok i kept going back and forth about this post. But here I am. Gonna put aside my I'm to proud to admit I'm struggling ego aside. Been jobless 6 weeks now with zero income. And had a slow month prior the layoff. As we know inflation is catching up and kicking us in the ass. So it kicked mine pretty good . I reached out for loans to help me and my daughter till work came about. Came across Des rental assistance program. Just in hopes of approval cause everything else wasn't working. Long story short the department blessed me and my daughter and is making out rent current and paying landlord extra month advance so I can hunt for work. I'm gonna be the 1st to admit I was complaining too myself . Why don't they answer the phone's. What takes so long blah blah blah. That was my thoughts, but once I found out that they lucky 350/400 employees. You know how many calls they get daily? Over 3000 plus. Hopefully we can have a better understanding for the department on that end of things. Just stay positive and patience, they really are here to help us and will.

I’ve mail my Mid approval back in twice and my benefits stop saying I didn’t complete the form which is bs

State of AZ unemployment is useless. One of the lowest paying states in the usa . They finally raised it to 320 after being 240 max for the past 30 years lol. I would just avoid using the state for any help and you will be a stronger person for it.

Beggars can't be choosers. They helped me out with 3 months of food stamps plus Medicare for a whole year. I'm thankful. These type of services are unheard of in other countries, so that's what I think about when going about my situation. Thank you DES.
