Message to United Airlines customer service at SJC. Thank you... for the hassle you created for me. My teenage daughter was dropped off for a flight and you informed her that her small bag would not fit in the overhead compartment, (the bag miraculously fit in the overhead of a Frontier Airbus just a few days prior) and she would have to pay an extra $40 to check it. No, no thanks. But hey, you were just doing your job. Maybe you wanted to get paid an "incentive"... So sorry to disappoint. I took the bag home as my personal item on Frontier Airlines a few days later... no charge. You know the Universe is having a little hiccup when even Frontier Airlines treats you better than United. So my thanks to you for creating a challenge that we were able to overcome by staying calm, cool and collected. Happy New Year!

I only fly United when there is absolutely no other choice.

Honestly, the receptionist is very bad she didn't listen to you. I have a flight at 6.50 on tuesday, and i arrived at the counter around 5.25 to get my boarding pass. She gave me another flight and told me you have to be here 90 minutes prior to the flight. I told her that I will make it because today there is no rush in the security and Customs but, she changed my flight and i cleared and entered in the boarding area around 6.00 Am then, I have requested the inside counter lady to give me back same flight and she changes it. Long story short, dont book United. Or try it on your Own

if i could give them zero stars i would. we sat in the plane at the reno airport for over THREE HOURRRRRRS after we ‘almost’ took off, but right before we got in the air, the pilot slammed the brakes on and stopped the plane. He then taxied back to the gate and proceeded to tell us that there was a ‘warning’- allegedly the oil gauge was saying something wrong with the pressure. Many reassurances that it would be “a quick fix as soon as the maintenance tech gets here”, an attempt to reroute a half a dozen of us (with no luck because United sucks & apparently doesn’t fly to Seattle??!!!), and another TWO HOURS being held hostage on the tarmac, and we are told we can finally take off. Almost everyone missed their connecting flights, of course, and we will be staying the night in a hotel because again- United sucks. WHY wasn’t this issue found and taken care of after the last flight? Is regular maintenance not done on these oldazz planes? I will NEVER fly United again. this is the 3rd time i’ve flown them and it’s always something. i will stick with Southwest from now on.
