I had a terrible experience with Flight Network and ITA Airways. On 09/02/25, I was supposed to fly to Italy. While sitting at the gate, I began experiencing symptoms of a heart attack. The gate agent called paramedics, and I was taken to the ER where I was diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia. Before leaving, the airline staff assured me and my travel companion that I could either be rebooked or refunded due to the medical emergency. Now, both Flight Network and ITA refuse to honor that promise. They are denying me both a refund and a flight credit—even though I had a documented medical emergency and could not safely fly. This is absolutely unacceptable. Any reputable company should have compassion and integrity when it comes to the health and safety of their passengers. Their lack of care and refusal to take responsibility is appalling. I will never book through Flight Network or ITA Airways again, and I strongly warn others to think twice before trusting them with your travel plans. I am also in the process of filing a formal complaint with consumer protection agencies

They delayed my flight for hours, then canceled it. Didn't give us a hotel for the night, reschedule the flight, or even have people at the airport to help fix their mess. We called customer service and they switched us flights and made us pay for the new flight, then took 2 hours to give us our bags so we missed our next flight and then had to pay AGAIN to get another flight all because they couldn't get things done timely. I've never had a problem with an airline being so bad until this company. Don't bother flying with them unless you want to miss days of your trip. They should shut down and stop wasting people's time.

The absolutely worst airline! I do not recommend booking or flying with it. ITA cancelled my ticket and did not allow to board the plane until I buy another ticket on the spot for double the price! Customer service that I contacted for refund is unresponsive.

Just don’t bother. Our trip to Italy started with our flight getting announced as cancelled at the gate after waiting for several hours after our takeoff time. The staff told everyone they would get an email rebooking us on a flight the following day and six hours later we still did not have that email telling us when our flight would be, even after calling twice, sitting on hold for 45 minutes each time, and having no further information. We ended up getting booked on another airline and when we went to the ITA airport service desk to get an email sent to us to provide to our booking site for proof, they told us that our “flight was never cancelled, it was just delayed 27 hours,” despite them literally using the word “cancelled” the day before, truly providing us with the most insane gaslighting experience of our lives. We unfortunately were booked with them on the way home as well and once we boarded an hour late, the plane could have been from 1997. The seats were busted, the TVs didn’t work without cutting out every thirty seconds, and there was grime EVERYWHERE. Truly just don’t bother. It’s not all that much cheaper after you end up checking your bag for $160 so save yourself the stress.

Not Family-Friendly We recently flew ITA Airways round-trip from Miami to Rome with our 16-month-old, and it turned out to be one of the most difficult travel experiences we’ve had as a family. On the way to Rome, we were allowed to use the priority lane—not just because we had priority status, but because we were traveling with a small child. However, on the return flight, although we again had priority, no one paid attention to families with young kids. There was no boarding assistance, no accommodations, and no acknowledgment of the added challenges that come with flying with a toddler. The onboard service was just as disappointing. Instead of offering any kind of age-appropriate meal, they handed me a can of Similac formula and a jar of overly processed baby mash—neither of which I would ever feed my child, especially not a 15-month-old. Whoever thought this was acceptable clearly has no idea what a toddler eats. Something simple and fresh—like a small piece of chicken, mashed potatoes, or steamed broccoli—would’ve made much more sense and shown some basic common sense and care. To make matters worse, the flight attendants were cold and dismissive, acting as if any request was a burden rather than part of their job. There was no effort to support or accommodate parents traveling with young children. Both flights were unnecessarily stressful. We will not fly ITA Airways again and do not recommend it for families with young kids. The lack of awareness, service, and consideration makes it a poor choice for anyone traveling with children.

I regret to report that I have encountered a flight company that provided exceptionally poor service. They cancelled my flight without notification and, when I arrived on May 31st, 2025, they falsely claimed that my flight was scheduled for the previous day, which conflicted with the date printed on my ticket. Moreover, they disavowed responsibility for the cancellation and endeavored to transfer the liability onto me. If a rating lower than 0 stars existed, I would bestow it upon this company. The flight from New York to Rome then to Algiers Algeria.
