Usually it’s ok. But today there was NO parking. we couldn’t find anywhere in daily parking. There were cones blocking a lot of the spots saying they were using that for construction. After driving around for a good 20 minutes and not finding a spot we weren’t the only ones there are several other cars also wandering around. We finally moved one of the cones and parked in that spot since we couldn’t find any. We were early so we had time we were stressing it. But then TSA held my daughter up for a good 30 min checking her because she only had 1 ID and since it wasn’t a drivers license they had to call a supervisor (waited 15 min for him to come) then she had to fill out paperwork, after that they had to call another supervisor (waited another 10 min) to ask her questions over the phone. At this point I was begging them to let us go through. She’s in high school but since she just turned 18 you have to have California ID or two forms ( a picture of your I’d doesn’t work) The tsa said you should have come earlier ( you mean earlier than the 1 hr15 min we came early today?) l thought I had plenty of time They did finally let her through- as we ran up the stairs they let us know they just closed the gate. Long story we missed our flights - lessen learned if you’re over 18 you need a drivers license or two forms of ID. Life lesson for my daughter. We went out and got the car, they charged me $10 for the hour of parking. I told him that I had to move the cone to park there. He said there were over 300 spots, I said sir there were no parking spots I promise you that, would you mind showing me where those 300 spots are hiding so I’ll know for next time, He said well there should’ve been, but we’re doing some construction today so a lot are blocked off right now 😂 ! I just it was my lucky day 😂 I guess We came back 2 hours later for the next flight. This time We had to do premier parking because we saw they had spots but not general today only apparently. *make sure you have ID 🪪 * premier parking will give you a ticket to fast pass security line *get there early

Wow, I can't say I'm a seasoned traveler. Pleasure only, but this morning I though everybody working at the Oakland International Airport took happy pills. Everybody At SWA, TSA, baggage handlers, Janitor's Happy. That's Nice! Monday morning Zen at OIA!

There was construction going on and the airport looked a bit squeezed, didn't like it so much. However the wasn't so much traffic on our way out.

Clean airport you just have a small drive through a terrible area.

Airport was empty when I arrived early morning from LAX. Took the BART to the Coliseum for the Raiders vs Steelers game. It was very convenient. Airport is small and very chill I do like it better than the San Francisco airport.
