I has several recent flights on JAL. I flew Business Class. A food and staff were outstanding. Jets were new or very recent and confortable.

DFW-HND meals in February 2025.

Sharing my experience that Narita Airport will be closed at 10 pm, had it known that this would happened JAL should give us a heads up right away or if in case having a 3 day visa, I should have toured Tokyo if only I have enough money to spend. Where in the world that the airport will have closing time at 10 pm, Narita Airport should be listed as a mall not an airport.

Smooth, well‑paced, and surprisingly comfortable for a long haul. The 2‑seat side row on JAL’s 787 is a win for couples or solo travelers who hate climbing over strangers. Flight attendants offered hot towels twice and kept water runs steady without hovering. Two full services plus a mid‑flight snack box were served. Dinner was a choice of soy‑ginger beef with rice or miso‑marinated chicken; both came with a side of cold soba, pickles, and Haagen‑Dazs. Flavors were fresh (for airplane food) and portions reasonable. Breakfast landed two hours before Narita: fluffy tamago, grilled salmon, rice, and miso soup. For the price premium over bare‑bones carriers, JAL was a great choice for this international flight.
