Well I had NO CLUE that there was a SOUTH terminal and that you had to take a 10min shuttle ride AND go through TSA again. Be sure to check your location carefully. First time ever walking up to a plane not with a inside jet bridge it was pretty crazy to me. Glad it wasn't raining.

Had a very bad experience on Thursday, Oct 9th. We have a booking for 5 members from atlanta to Austin including elderly and kid. There was delay at TSA due to which flight was changed from 6:02 to 6:17. Boarding should close 20 mins prior, so 5:57 pm. Previous boarding closing time was 5:42 We reached gate at 5:50, were told gate got closed. Person At gate was very rude, even when we asked and requested repeatedly. Even though its still not 20 mins to departure time. They allowed another person who had to go back to checkin counter for some problem, they made exception there, flight was still at gate, they should have allowed us, but told computer is still taking old closing time and not allowing them to board us. Rebooking help was also not done properly, initially they told they will help at gate, when we continued requesting to let us in, they told they cannot even help for revooking and asked to go to checkin counter. Worst and rude. Each request made him more ruder. We all had to go back home, rebook paying $500 extra for next day flight, no compensation, nothing. I was able to rebook only because I took a bundle which had free change option. Lots of time waste on customer care number, then 45 mins on chat help which finally made the reservations. Vacation plans changed, car rentals changed, time wasted, missed put on meeting friends. We did even request for wheel chair assistance, so informed at checkin counter we were here, they told they cannot give assistance but will hold the flight to take us in. That too didnt happen. Atleast lady at checkin counter was empathetic.

Alan is the best thing they have going for them at this terminal and Frontier. He’s super friendly and clearly holds the place all together ; ) imagine getting help with a voucher purchase via chat and then I get there only to find out they say I owe $122. It turned out to be an error . I was able to check in via the app but only with Alan’s help and use of their wifi. He’s the best! Although the seats are small and there is little to no leg room. The fact you have to pay for snacks and drinks sucks too. I’d rather pay more for the creature comforts like at American Airlines. Oh and the three guys who worked the area, long dreads with glasses, a Latino and short white guy were rather loud and laughing like hiyenas. Was a bit much first thing in the morning. It was pretty annoying. Oh and the flight attendent with short blonde hair African American, I had asked if we could move after everyone seats. As there were lotsa open seats, but she said no than proceeded to allow another African American to move. I felt slighted a bit. : / most all other airlines allow us to move to empty seats.

Not a part of the main airport, you need to take a shuttle to an alternate location and it only runs every 20—25 mins. Prepare to leave extra early for commute to off site location + kiosks don't support flights to certain locations + security is very understaffed and takes longer even with TSA pre check.

Flight kept getting delayed for maintenance every 30 min for 6 hours! Finally they rescheduled to the next day and sent us home with a $15 voucher...no hotel if you live in Texas. The gate staff knew nothing about the reason for the maintenance delay and kept asking for patience when we'd been waiting 6 hours. I'm beginning to think their silence is intentional. Easier to keep customers quiet when they're ignorant. Generally I have good experiences in this terminal, easy quick parking, no TSA wait line, and cheap flights. I guess it's the risk you take. The flights are cheap but they might not get you there on time.

I had a great experience on the way from Austin to Florida. I literally took less than 5 minutes to get past tsa just make sure you get dropped off at the south Terminal. The only bad experience was that my flush got canceled on the way back but apparently that was due to the government shut down. Other than that good experience plane was nice and quiet no complaints there.

I had one of the worst experiences ever with Frontier Airlines at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood Airport. My 91-year-old mother was supposed to take a short, simple 2-hour 15-minute flight, and the airline assigned someone to escort her to the gate. Instead, they left her at the wrong gate, abandoned her, and caused her to miss her flight. No one bothered to look for her or check where she was, even though she was already checked into the system. When I called for help, the first thing they told me was that I had to pay a fare difference to rebook her — even though it was clearly their mistake! Only after insisting to speak with a supervisor did someone finally say the change would be free. But then they tried to put my 91-year-old mother on a 12-hour flight with a long stop in another state. Completely unacceptable. The service at the counter was just as bad. I asked for a gate pass so I could accompany my mom — something I always do when she travels — and the agent told me it was “not allowed.” Today, I booked her with another airline, and they gave me a gate pass with no issue. That proves Frontier staff simply didn’t want to help. When I expressed my frustration, the supervisor told me to “moderate my language,” after their team left a 91-year-old woman stranded for more than two hours at the wrong gate. The lack of compassion, responsibility, and professionalism was shocking. I will never fly with Frontier again, and I will warn everyone I know about this experience. Elderly passengers deserve care, not negligence. Frontier needs serious training and accountability.
