I would like to start with thanking the pilots who have do e amazing landing and take offs in comparison to other airlines I've been on. They have the smoothest transitions in the air. 👏 The staff are always super nice and sweet and accommodating. This time around I thought to spoil ourselves a bit and made a bid for their upgrade to business and premium economy and definitely worth the comfort and hospitality. Food was amazing, especially on our flight out of NZ to Fiji. Their new dessert item was great. Seats were nice. Would suggest maybe having more amenities for the bathroom in business. And maybe making business class for longer flights like yvr to nan a little more affordable when it comes to bidding if that's possible? Love the halal option but we did have the vegetarian option all the way thro and surprisingly was wonderful. They do set a good standard for airline food. And would recommend traveling. Even with delayed flights ground staff and flight staff made it feel very seamless.

I flew on 4 Fiji airways flights in the past 2 weeks with my family of 5. On our 3rd flight, the plane was smaller than the others so they decided that my husband’s personal item bag was too big. It was an average sized backpack. I called your airline a week before my flight to ask about the personal item bags since your website says “a handbag or laptop bag”. Men to do carry handbags and my husband didn’t need to bring a laptop on our vacation and a laptop bag is a very off size and has to be held in hand by a handle, not conveniently worn on a body. The employ said a backpack was fine for a personal items bag, and it was fine for 3 out of 4 flights. However, just because one plane was small, so small it didn’t even comply with your baggage allowance and many people had to check their carry on bags, all of a sudden I got charged $120 for his backpack. What is also stupid is that there was no room in the upper luggage compartments so it slide under the seat in front of him just like anyone else’s personal item bag, so I guess it was small enough to qualify as one. I immediately wrote a complaint to Fiji airways customer care and they rejected my request to get a refund of my $120 charge for this bag. Also, I have photos of many other travelers on that flight who weren’t charged any extra and backpacks and carry on bags just as large, or larger than my husbands. Also, the Fiji airways employees at the Auckland airport didn’t even know the baggage allowance rules and I had to pull up the website to correct them. On other notes, almost for every meal, I didn’t get my meal of choice because they had run out. Twice my whole family was offered 0 drinks with our meals. The screens at our seats often didn’t have sound that work. Many times the headphones would fall out at the smallest amount of turbulence and we would have to shove the connection back in to continue to hear the movie. Also, on the way back, my son had broke his leg the day before our departure and their airline made ZERO effort to try to change him seats. He had to remove his leg brace because his leg literally couldn’t fit in the leg room of a normal seat. Their employees suggestion was for him to put his leg in the aisle, to literally have a broken leg bumped by every person and cart that goes by. So to sum everything up, I’m an EXTREMELY disappointed in my experience in Fiji airways and I never plan to fly with them again.

mixed bag of pros and cons: 1. lower fare compared to quantas and air nz if transiting in nan to aus or nz 2. generous 1 free checked bag of 158 linear cm, 23kg 3. out of the 4 different crew on 4 flights, 1 crew lax-nan was incredibly remarkable, so attentive; 3 other not so, 1 crew nan-lax seemed impatient 4. in 10-12 hours flight, incredibly small amount of food with only choice of chx or vege, so bring snacks 5. boarding at nan was worst than chaotic, that's an understatement 6. boarding area was crowded; fj lounge was just a little better which can be purchased separately for 99fjd

Terrible airline never fly with them I would rather walk then use them they are absolutely horrendous. I promise it is probably better to swim to your destination than fly with them, HORRIBLE. They lose bags delay flights every time and they without a doubt don’t care about you hospitality.
