Great experience flying with Epix. Nick was a very knowledgeable and capable flight instructor for your CFI/II needs. Their facilities were well maintained and their staff was great with quick communication and response time. They got me in the cockpit within one day of initially contacting them. Solid pricing, solid staff. No complaints.

Growing up in Virginia, becoming a pilot was always my dream. I had a dream to follow my family and had high hopes for Epix Aviation and strongly encouraged me to train there — unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had and I felt so cheated. From the start, the environment felt unprofessional. The instructors often seemed disinterested, unprepared, and at times flat-out dismissive. More concerning, though, was their blatant disregard for FAA regulations and CFRs (Code of Federal Regulations). As a student pilot, you’re taught to take safety and compliance seriously — yet the very people who are supposed to model those standards weren’t following those guidelines. To make matters worse, the general attitude of the staff was rude and unwelcoming and when you’re new and starting your journey to your dream job, there was no sense of mentorship or support, which is essential when you're learning something as demanding and high-stakes as aviation. It felt like I was just another check to be cashed, not a student with goals or potential. I don’t write reviews often, but I hope this helps someone else avoid the same mistake. There are better, safer, and more respectful flight schools out there. Epix Aviation might have a polished name, but the experience was anything but professional.

Got my ppl here and continue to rent from them. Great instructors, staff and airplanes. Wonderful overall enviorment that fosters chill and learning . Best flight school I have been to.

Epix Aviation helped me out so much with getting my PPL. They prepared me for everything and taught that even after your certificate, we all still learn as pilots. The staff is more than amazing and helpful as a resource and they were the first of a pilot community that I felt that I was apart of!

Awesome staff. Took my first lesson today and had a blast. Super professional and. laid-back staff. Good clean equipment and beautiful location. I will be back for sure.
