Enjoyable user friendly airport with two commercial passenger flights per day (United, both to Denver). On our fun trip to watch Georgia Tech beat Colorado in Boulder, we arrived and departed here by choice in order to add some cheap flight segments for our United Mileage Plus program status requalification, and to spend a half day visiting pleasant Cheyenne. We’re happy we did, Cheyenne is fun and it’s easy to hop on I-25 and head down to Boulder, not really a lot more driving than the Denver alternative. This airport currently has one gate, one bar and restaurant, one baggage carousel, and seemingly one staffed rental car company counter (Avis, there is an Enterprise counter but not staffed and could not book an Enterprise car at airport). All great with us! TSA staff opens up specific to flight departure times (fine). Decorated with art for sale like the good ol’ days. Free self serve Keurig coffee inside security at the boarding gate acts as the United Club. 😀 Your feet are the train to the rental car center a.k.a. a close in part of the parking lot up a 3’ high “hill.” What could be better?!

I appreciate the ease and convenience of avoiding long security lines at Denver International Airport. However, the downside to using Cheyenne is you are limited to just two flight times a day which is not always optimal. Between the military and private airplanes though, close access to the runway and parking areas makes for good picture taking such as this bird right next to the public parking lot.

Much more enjoyable than driving up from Denver! I recently had my first trip from SLC-DEN-Cheyenne and would definitely recommend flying over driving. The staff was friendly and check-in including TSA took less than 10 minutes.

One diner/bar food so so not fresh stale bread and green tint on roast beef potato salad way too sweet. Bloody Mary was pretty good but mostly ice for the price.

I enjoyed flying with my family on the inaugural flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Cheyenne on American Airlines (operated by SkyWest) on November 4, 2018. The flight was approximately 90-minutes. I enjoyed the free parking at the new Cheyenne Regional Airport Terminal located at 4020 Airport Parkway West. Staff was friendly and helpful. The plane is a CRJ200 jet that can accommodate approximately 50 passengers. #FlyCheyenne #ThatsWY #Cheyenne
