The American Airlines club is a little cramped and somewhat strangely laid out, especially the weird bar. The team at the welcome desk was exceptional. However, the team handling the food and service weren’t really attentive to their jobs, and I saw no interactions with any guests. The bartender was OK but a little clumsy with communication he had difficulty explaining to a guest that their CO2 was out so they didn’t have carbonated beverages and surprisingly the guest had to ask. Don’t you have anything in cans, before it occurred to the bartender that yes there were still carbonated beverages. There are no real restaurants in the airport but if you’re starving, the quick service stuff isn’t too bad, three stars at best. Little if any seating. Be prepared to grab and go, find a place to sit. The barbecue place “Salt Lick” is supposedly rated as the fourth best Airport restaurant in the US. That seems outrageously generous to me. In most major airports I don’t think it would be rated the fourth best on any given concourse. This seems to be a quick, convenient airport. Easy to navigate with pretty efficient security.

First time here at this Admirals Club at AUS and was pleasently surprised. Very friendly staff to check-in and greet you. All the amenities you need and snacks and drinks were plentyful. Maybe a tad small for an airport the size of ABIA but otherwise five stars experience.

The staff at this lounge are the true stars! Everyone is extremely helpful, courteous and willing to help. The food is as good as it can be for a regular AA Admirals lounge. Seating has mostly the simple couches and some tables and chairs. There is a view into the terminal. A bar is also available.

I feel bad for the people who have to pay for this lounge. I see better food selections at a Holiday Inn. Most of the time staff members are non-existent. Drinks take forever to get and the food been there for at least 2 weeks. You better off saving your money and going to the restaurants downstairs.

This Admirals club lounge is fairly subpar for Admirals clubs. It is small and the food area is usually fairly dirty. The hours are short and if you go there within a couple of hours of when they close, there’s often no food left. Other Admirals clubs seem to put food out right until the end, but this one winds down early. If I paid to get into this lounge, I would be fairly pissed off. Fortunately, I get in free with a credit card.
