The attendant at the baggage drop off line was extremely rude and condescending. Our family doesn’t travel often, and we wanted to speak to a physical person instead of using the kiosk to check our baggage because we had baby items. We tried to get into the baggage drop off line, because that’s what we were able to do with delta. She stopped us and we told her that we’d like talk to someone about our baggage, and she said, “Nope, you have to do it through the kiosk”. She was very short in her response, then ignored us after she finished talking. We went to the kiosk and did our best to figure out or baggage, which resulted in us looking so frazzled that an attendant finally came over and helped us through the process and wound up saving us $160 dollars. (Hence the 2 stars and not the 1 star). The actual flight was rough. Service was subpar and they sold out of food on the flight before we had a chance to order anything. We were offered one snack and one beverage, whereas on delta we were offered a drink every hour, water in between the sodas, and at least 3-4 snacks. We also were able to order food. I probably won’t book with American Airlines again because of the vast difference of experience I had between delta and American on our vacation. I was disappointed for sure.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at the American Airlines counter. On November 3rd, 2025, at 6:20 PM, at the Orlando International Airport (MCO), I was assisted by a foreign employee named Mercedita, whose behavior was extremely rude and unwilling to help. From the very beginning of the interaction, she showed a clear lack of willingness to assist customers, responded with impatience and disdain, and did not demonstrate the professional or courteous attitude expected from a representative of your company. I find this type of behavior unacceptable, especially in a position that directly deals with the public and reflects the company’s image. I kindly request that this incident be investigated and that appropriate measures be taken to prevent similar situations from happening to other passengers. Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response regarding the actions taken. Orlando International Airport (MCO)

2 million mile guy for 30+ years. One of the best everything outfits out there 20 years ago. Greed seems to have taken over. Now misleading (lies) statements such "free upgrades" for club users... I've been a member for over 30 years NEVER was upgraded. Stop saying that! Gone from top to bottom.

They’re so bad! They behave as they’re doing a favor to you. Not even the low cost airlines treat you this way. Dashley was unprofessional, grumpy and lacked knowledge Manager rafael also didn’t know the procedures and gave me wrong information. This company lacks training and standards! She knows she’s awful that’s why she’s not wearing a badge! When i asked her name she gave me an attitude! Look how she’s leaning on the counter 🙄🙄 bad

They are very slow at the terminal, and it's almost as if they stall for time to purposely get you to cancel. The tone of the staff was very harsh, but not as rude as others have experienced. During the flight, they took a very long time to offer us beverages, and we were very dehydrated while waiting. My connected flight was very rough, and it genuinely felt like this pilot was going to crash the plane - he did not know how to land. There was even an inspection after the pilot landed, and he (the pilot) held us on the plane for a very long time without a reason. But on the plus side, I do have some good flights with them every once in a while.
