In October 2020 I spent a week flying with Pete Stavrides to obtain my ticket to fly the L-39. Pete was calm, professional and a great teacher who paid attention to all the small details. It's a lot of fun and will make you a better pilot. I highly recommend taking this training with Pete.

What a great experience I had in the L39. Very thorough training, both technically and scenerio based. Super people. I will be coming back for advanced aerobatics and yearly recurrent training. You will not be disappointed.

Pete at Up and Ready Flight Support is amazing. He thoroughly teaches the ground school of the L39 and L29. He makes it easy for you to understand systems and characteristics of the aircraft. As for flying; Pete is very skilled instructor. Same as the ground course, he makes learning to fly the aircraft easy. He will do everything needed to insure a successful check ride. I would certainly use Pete again in the future for training.

Pete Stavrides and Up and Ready Flight Support operates out of a great facility with easy access from Virginia Beach airport, which in turn provides ample mix of airline service. At Hampton Roads Airport, there's no time or money wasted with ground, tower or ATC delays; or with long transitions to distant training areas. The provided training materials and Pete's calm and organized instruction allowed me to efficiently and capably prepare for a scheduled flight with the DE. The current addition of an on-staff Designated Examiner makes Up and Ready an even more obvious choice for L-29/39 jet training. I have flown with additional experienced L-29 pilots since, and all have been very complimentary, which I attribute to the instruction I received from Pete and Up and Ready. Highly Recommend.

Pete is very passionate and an amazing instructor. It was one for birthday celebrations and will serve my memory bank for years to come. It was the experience for me as a fellow aviator to fly in a piece of history before I was born. I had to opportunity to fly over the Mecca of Aviation and experience combat maneuvers in the Texan. Through the each loop and barrel roll in clear skies, Pete and Up and Ready staff spare no G’s. I look forward to the next flight.
