Yesterday out of IAH I had the most frustrating experience. I arrived at the airport two hours prior to departure. I was going out of the new concourse D and there were no kiosks to prep the bag so we waited in what was called a shortcut line for baggage check but that line took 45 minutes. By the time I got done there and got through security it took another 45 minutes. I was running for the gate having to get all the way to Concourse D when I arrived at my gate 15 minutes prior to departure. I was told the door was closed and I would not be allowed on the airplane. I watched the airplane sit at that gate for 15 minutes after I was denied boarding. Now I understand on time departures, etc. but this was 15 minutes prior to What should’ve been unblocking the wheels of the airplane and pushing back. There was no kindness or even an attempted understanding my predicament or the fact that I had gotten to the airport in plenty of time prior to my flight. I was then made to wait for six hours for the next flight to my destination. At no point during the process was I treated like a human being or with any kindness whatsoever. Last time on United and let me just add that they charged for everything… Baggage seat, selection, and even snacks on the airplane.

As a loyal United Airlines customer, I appreciate the exceptional service and professionalism that define the “friendly skies.” However, my recent check-in experience at CLT fell short of expectations. Despite arriving early and using the Premier Access line, the interaction with the check-in agent was frustrating. While I understand the challenges faced by airport staff, the dismissive tone and unprofessional behavior of the Premier Desk agent left a negative impression. United’s commitment to excellence is clear in other areas of the business, and I trust this feedback will help address inconsistencies at the check-in counters. I look forward to seeing improvements in service quality at the airport level.

Terrible service—consistently late and full of problems. Very unreliable. I would not recommend this company and honestly believe it shouldn’t be in business if this is how they operate.

The United counter at the Charlotte airport has some scales rigged. I checked in, 2 suitcases in one scale 54 and 55 lb, in other scale 50.3 & 50.6 lb as I had them at home with the digital scale. It took me one hour to find out. They charge $100 dollars per extra pound. It is a scam or they are very careless. How many people got taken by the scales that are bad?
