Flew with them for the 1st time this week for a 2 day round trip orlando to Nashville. Nice staff. Like the free pretzels and complimentary drink. You get to choose your seat yourself as you board

Not happy about the baggage fees but southwest is and always will be my go to airlines I am partially disabled and the are very courteous and accommodating. I do wish they would bring back the brownie bites as a snack lol. Flight assistance need to rub some fun on the flights once upon a time they used to play games. And advise parents with babies that if they give their kids something to suck on during take offs and landing it will balance the pressure in their eustachian tubes in their ears less crying during flights.

Ashley Announcing and Walking up to people sitting down waiting on their flight calling them out that they have bags they can check and that if they didn’t check them people would get mad at them for holding up the flight. Making them feel uncomfortable. Attendants should not be doing this. It’s disrespectful and invasion of privacy calling them out like that. Ashley needs airline etiquette classes!

Flew south west twice in the last month for the first time. As an Irish person used to the chaos and 'service' from ryanair, the flights with southwest were an experience...free seating is gas but actually seems to work well so no complaints there! Staff were lovely on both flights and on the check-in counters. All that said, I do have a major issue with the airline and it's booking/ payment systems. We had to pay for our bags on both flights (changing flights last min meant we past the free checked bag thing) which is not the issue, the issue arose when their system would not accept ANY of our cards. On flight 1 in savannah airport we tried 5 differnt cards, all visa or MasterCard and on the 2nd flight we tried similar. In both instances we were asked to go to the kiosk where you could purchase another card that would work but would also cost you $6 extra so essentially instead of your bag costing $35, it would cost $41, which still cheap by EU airline standards but it's the principle. Our cards had money/credit on them, it was the system that was the issue because our cards were registered in Ireland (or something), they were not being recognised. This is a major fail on Southwest's part because if you want international visitors to use your airline you should accomodate all. In both instances (sav airport and Nashville airport) we had to insist (after much polite discussion) on airport staff calling their head office and conducting a 'work-around' where our cards could be processed. They can do it by changing something in the system when processing from US to whatever your country code is so if you're and international traveller with southwest using a 'foriegn' cc insist on that phonecall being made and do not pay the extra. In both instances staff were lovely about it (after initial tense moments), they can only work with the knowledge/systems they are given. Southwest need to tell/train all ground staff at the counters this is possible and update their systems. It won't put me off flying with them again but unfortunately if I experience this again I will be the 'karen' at the desk insisting to speak to the supervisor coz I know it's possible.

5 years of swearing to not fly Southwest again I recently was only able to fly with southwest and I have to say the planes are more spacious now. They keep them cleaner than i remember and the Stuarts coming through the isles are friendly. And this was a New York Based crew. I used to despise this crew especially because of the old attitudes. It was nice to see that maybe they have received training in order to win back customer retention. Now it’s nothing luxurious and there is no first class available so that’s the reason I’m giving 4 stars. Also I still dislike the open seating. Takes too long to board and people shuffle up and down the aisle, looking for non-middle seats, passing up rows and eventually turning back to those that they passed up. It’s a bit chaotic toward the end. Would I fly with them again, maybe. It would just depend on my other options.
