A jewel of an airport hiding in Colorado that is used by the air force at times for mountain certifications and as a stop for pilots traveling across the country. The staff at the airport go above and beyond to help. I can not thank them enough for their help when we were stopped there for weather. With fuel services and an amazing pilots lounge, this is definitely a place to stop if in the area.

I am not from lamar or surrounding areas. However I do live in lamar and while at (memorial park?) the park next to the pool i was talking to a woman who told me about some planes that were inviting folks to see planes up close and offer general information about them. My boys are 3 & 6 and they had a blast. We got to watch a few planes take off and had names of parts explained. Super cool and we had a great time. Thank you lamar flight service! ♥️♥️♥️

Eric is awesome! Had a overnight after hours and early departure. Eric was there to fuel and hangar the airplane and early the next morning for the departure. 5 Star FBO service which is extremely hard to find. Thanks Eric!

Last Friday I flew a rather difficult mission in a 172 to bring 17 homeless felines to new homes in Colorado from Woodward, OK. The half-way stop for fuel and checks on my cat crew was done perfectly at Lamar thanks to the great staff. It was pushing 100 degrees in the shade, and my cockpit was warming towards 90F soonafter landing. But the Techs had me refueled quick-turn while I checked the feline crew. And in minutes I was on a take-off roll heading for cooler cabin temperatures at altitude for the caged cats. The Lamar crew was amazing in their understanding and support of this rather trying mission to get these cats and kittens to Denver without heat shock. I've always had KLAA on my map in past missions, and will go out of my way to fly into Lamar on future rescue missions. Bravo! George Ingersoll C-172 N2209E

Called ahead and had them waiting for me on the ramp. Had me gassed and gear up within 20 minutes. Awesome experience. Will absolutely come through again!
