Super small and convenient airport! So much better than MSP! And free parking! An airport you don't need to get to hours before is the best! Plus - it beats the drive to msp any day! Take that highway 35!

I understand this airport is small but the unprofessional nature of people working here is astounding. I flew in on the 30th and Delta mishandled my luggage (not hibbing airports fault) they told me I would not have my belongings until the next day and they would deliver it to me. My medicine was in my bag, again, not their fault. I should have put it in my carry on. The next day after not having clothes for 24 hours (I went to the nearest Walmart to make due) they called to let me know it arrived, but they wouldn't be able to deliver it until the next day because people were going home. Why? It's 10:30 am. I just drove to get it as I could not go another day without my belongings. We get there and there's people there just hanging out. Let's move to the day I leave (today). TSA gets a lot of shit in many of the airports I've been in. I try be kind and pleasant but one of the guys working there was horrible. The technology is different since it's a smaller airport; in Nashville you don't have to remove your computer and you only need an ID . The guy who checked my ID I apologized to for not being better prepared, as I didn't know he needed my boarding pass, and I quickly pulled open my app. The woman working the buckets starts to tell the others behind me they don't need to remove their shoes and laughs at me calling me a trouble maker. (All good humor) and she sends my backpack through after I scan my pass and throw my phone in the bucket. I get further scanned my shoes get a random check which is fine so when I'm done this other guy yells at me for keeping my computer in my bag. I apologized and told him Nashville doesn't require that. He tells me you were told that already and she told you we don't have the same systems. I explained to him that no we were discussing the boarding pass process. He was disrespectful for no reason. There's 10 people trying to fly out there is no overwhelming pressure at all. His attitude towards me is uncalled for. I guess we're in a society that doesn't value respect and consideration. It took all of 5 seconds to take my computer out and rescan it and also 5 seconds to attempt to ruin someone's day because we lack self control. Maybe I'm just use to southern personalities; boy did the ick this guy was exuding reek. Happy to be heading home. Hope to never use this airport again.

This is the best tiny airport you've never heard of. Comfy lobby with cushy seats and plenty of charge outlets. Also, parking is free! I'm glad this place is here and I hope it remains cozy.

NEED A, "DO NOT BLOCK CROSSWALK" sign. They're always parking on the crosswalk. YOU'RE THE BETTER OFF DIVINNG TO THE CITY'S! DELTA AIRLINES SUCKS! ALWAYS DELAYED! The airport itself is awesome. Delta is so unreliable. It really sucks. Horrible flight options from this airport. 11 /15/2024 They've cut the flights in half to this airport, which has caused any connection filght rates to sky rocket. I've been having to drive to the twin cities. I tried, but simply not an adequate place to do business if you fly. Good luck if you're a one - or two-time flyer. You might not notice this. Booking flights separately will save you a lot of money. I travel for a living. For example, to fly out of Hibbing to Kansas City, they offer only one flight for $1610. I would arrive in the twin cities by 8 am. The same exact day they have many flights out of Minneapolis after my arrival time of 8am, but yet for some reason, if you fly out of Hibbing, you only get one option($1610)🤔 I had to book two separate flights, one to Minneapolis and then another to Kansas City Its cheaper by over a $1000 ($573.79) THEY ARE RIPPING OFF THE CUSTOMERS THAT FLY OUT OF THIS AIRPORT! Example below....In the picture below, all the flights are on the same day. DELTA IS UNTRUSTWORTHY!
