I recently discovered this place, and it’s a great spot to visit if you’re looking for something to do. It’s not a bad idea to grab some food and drinks from elsewhere, then drive here and watch the airplanes take off or land. If you have a flight tracker app on your phone, you can even track each plane to see where it’s headed. There are a few benches and trash cans around, making it a convenient place to relax.

Nice place to view planes landing & taking off. They have about 25 parking spaces. Nice free activity for those who like planes.

Great place to watch planes land/take-off from MSP. Picnic benches and usually plenty of parking. No entry cost and a good spot for aviation enthusiasts. Great for the kids as well.

Free access to see airplanes up close and take off was pretty cool. There’s a grassy area that people laid out a blanket or a couple picnic tables. Fascinating spot to observe up close.

Really great area, truly a the best space for the family to get out and enjoy the airplanes taken off. I would definitely recommend. It's for all ages from young to old You can spend hours out there with a picnic and it's an amazing afternoon. I definitely would recommend for anybody trying to go wash some planes take off or even bit of a change of pace for something to do. We were able to get a lot of really good shots of the planes taking off while there.
