They lost my luggage during a trip to AMS, Athens & Rome but at least they tried to help and eventually found it a week later. The folks at ATH airport (Goldair Handling who are contracted to handle luggage claims in Greece) were beyond rude and unhelpful. Thanks to KLMs customer service (mostly over the phone; their app chat support is beyond pitiful) I was able to at least find the bag; we thought it has lost/stolen but thankfully not. A big thumbs up to KLM's customer service; their SFO operation that misplaced our bag, not so much.

Customer support is non existent. Bought a ticket for $890 and never actually received the ticket. No luck getting ahold of anyone at KLM about it. But they were very quick to dispute the chargeback and now Iโm out almost a grand from getting outright scammed by KLM. Save your money and your sanity, donโt fly KLM.

KLM Royal One of the worst Companies in the world. Worst Customer Service. Paid for two refundable tickets. When I had to request a refund they only refunded one ticket. It's now been 3 months and their customer service keeps telling me that there's nothing they can do. Just straight up stole my money.

We had a complicated trip with KLM and Delta codeshare. The third leg of our trip (connecting in AMS) was cancelled and we ended up with a pretty nice hotel stay near Schiphol due to this issue caused by the airline. It was nice but certainly due because they wanted to make us wait around Schiphol all day and take TWO more connecting flights after already being inflight on two other flights for 24 hours. We also missed our first hotel night in our destination city because of the airlines cancellation. So we came out even and for that I thank KLM. However, getting accurate information from anyone at the first transfer in Minneapolis was not possible because they were all Delta. If you have any issues with codeshare flights the airline you're actually flying ( we booked with KLM and it included some flights on Delta) with has little they can do for you. The other big issue was on the return flight we were forced to check bags on flights that clearly were not full. This was done by an airport agent that seemed to be an employee of Croatia airports. Eventually the bag did get to us but two days later and not without concern over losing some favorite things. The agent at the destination seemed to be blaming KLM for not transferring the baggage. Hard to say exactly what happened but it was not smooth clearly. Overall the flight experience was fine and the attendants were friendly, but I would say the seats on the KLM 777 were too hard for my back. They also didn't have wifi on a 9 hour flight. On a positive note, the meal was one of the better ones on a flight in recent memory. We enjoyed the olive plate and South African wine served with the dinner main entree.
