    Requested a wheelchair transport for my Autistic son mental/learning disabilities to make sure he arrived to my next gate on time. Transport service was not provided missed his connection flight in Germany. What an experience especially due to time difference in the USA.

    Absolutely the worst airline! Lufthansa failed to provide any information about visa requirements, causing us to miss our trip. When we reached out for help, they refused to offer a refund and customer service was completely unresponsive. Total lack of responsibility—never flying with them again

    I wish I can give this airline negative stars. It’s been more than 3 days I reached my destination but still have not received my baggage. The Lufthansa office at Mumbai airport don’t even pick up the calls. No reply to emails or support available from their customer service department. There is no information available when you track your bags using the reference number provided by the airlines. Overall horrible experience. DO NOT TRAVEL with Lufthansa Airlines. This will be the worst experience of your life.

    Giving it a one star because I cannot leave negative ratings. The WORST airline and the most condescending and utterly unhelpful staff. They do not honour the promises made by Air Canada and their partnership and charge exorbitant money for things that are promised by their partners. Disgusting and manipulative behaviour. Do not opt for this airlines even if they are your last option. They will cause maximum inconvenience and send untrained, ill-mannered staff to aggressively handle the customers.

    The most rude and discriminating staff that we encountered at Mumbai Airport. We were a family of 4 travelling to Lisbon via Munich on a valid and unused Schengen tourist visa issued by Schengen state Greece. We had opted for airport assist service provided by Mumbai Airport. They escorted us to the business class check in desk. The first Lufthansa representative at the desk did not have knowledge about the Schengen visa so he called his colleague to address our check in. The new representative behaviour seemed unusual and may be it was because we were occupying the business class check in desk which was not requested by us but the airport assist service. Then he looked up our visas which were valid but it seemed he also did not carry enough knowledge about the fact how Schengen visas work. He then started sending documents to someone and their behaviour seemed to us like they wanted to eat up some time in this and deny checking us in the flight. After some time they said they cannot allow us to fly. I asked them to give me the reason in writing so that I can take this up with the Greece and German embassy. The fact that Schengen visas are valid in all 27 states becomes void in such case and the people travelling to Schengen countries should be made aware about it. The representative said that he doesn’t have the authority to give in writing so I requested him to let me talk to his manager. The manager came in and his knowledge about Schengen visas was even less than his sub ordinate. He told me that you can only travel to the Schengen country that you hold the visa. Then I asked him what is the meaning of Schengen state and why do our visa sticker reflect valid for Schengen states rather than just the country who issued it. He had no answer. I requested the manager to give me in writing the reason for denial to which he also gave the same answer as his subordinates. Looks like Lufthansa has just employed baggage handlers staff at the Mumbai Airport as these people are neither aware about the rules nor have any authority to give customers in writing on these issues. It was a nightmare experience yesterday with two 10 months infants and that too due to the lack of knowledge and communication Lufthansa staff at Mumbai airport. Actually our family had plans to visit Greece and all the members of the family had Greece visa but due to some personal reasons our Greece plan was cancelled and we thought of travelling to Lisbon with these valid Schengen visas. One more important fact is that my mother had travelled to Lisbon for 3 weeks on same type of visa in the month of June via Etihad Airways. It was a flawless trip right from beginning to the end. I would definitely recommend giving thought to other airlines if you have a choice as the Lufthansa staff put the denial on the German authorities that a customer cannot contact at that point and all your plans jeopardise.
