⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Memphis International Airport sets the bar high for efficiency and convenience. From the moment I stepped inside, the entire process—check-in, security, and boarding—was streamlined and stress-free. The terminal layout is easy to navigate, with clear signage and friendly staff always available to point travelers in the right direction. What impressed me most was how quickly bags arrived at baggage claim. It’s one of the fastest systems I’ve experienced in any U.S. airport, saving time and eliminating the usual wait. The concourses are modern, well-lit, and kept very clean, making connections or layovers comfortable. Dining and retail options are solid, with a nice mix of local Memphis flavors and national favorites. Parking and ground transportation are also smooth—rideshare pickup is well organized, and the proximity to downtown Memphis is unbeatable. Whether traveling for business or leisure, MEM offers an easy, efficient, and genuinely pleasant airport experience. Highly recommended as one of the most traveler-friendly airports in the region!

Memphis International Airport has come a long way—and it shows! Loading and unloading is super easy, with well-marked lanes and quick access to the terminal. The newly renovated terminal is beautiful—bright, clean, and modern, with plenty of seating and charging stations throughout. One of my favorite parts is the food selection—you’ve got everything from Chick-fil-A and Starbucks to local spots like Memphis Made Brewing Co. and Grizz Grill. There’s something for everyone, whether you want a full meal or a quick snack. Everything about the airport feels smooth, welcoming, and efficient. Definitely a five-star experience!

We flew into Memphis on vacation in June. Airport is what I consider small, with only one terminal, but full service with many choices of on-site rental cars and several eateries and a bar to choose from. Cell phone charging on arms of chairs. There was a constant buzzing by gate 12 that was annoying. Rental cars are on property, but need to take several moving walks and covered walkways to get to Rental Agencies. You leave out of the baggage area. Baggage area bathrooms are storm shelters. Alamo is part of National so when we arrived at 11:30 pm, we checked in at Alamo, but chose a car under National. (Alamo has better rates than National). We even got to pick our vehicle! Easy return to the airport. We flew Delta that allows 1 free carryone and 1 free personal item. When the plane is full and overhead bins limited, they will offer free complimentary checked baggage at gate that will forward to your destination. Final tip on traveling. The smaller piece of luggage, an Underseater, is considered your personal item, and will fit under your seat, has 2 wheels, a retractable handle, a strap in back, & fits under the seat in front of you. The matching carryon has 4 wheels, retractable handle, and the underseater attaches to the extendable handle to only have to roll one piece through the airport. Your purse will need to go into the underseater for boarding. Underseater is also great for day trips! We only had these 4 pieces of luggage, and vacationed for over a week! Roll your clothes and all will fit. We went to the laundromat the day before so all clothes were repacked clean for sercurity & home.

I did not fly in or out of here, but I did stop by to do some plane spotting. There are not very many good places to spot, but if you search for little bit, you can find some great picture locations.

This is a great airport! Everyone was very kind and made sure I got safely on board. I didn't think I could handle traveling with a wheelchair, but it worked out well.
