Johnson County Airport is an absolute gem. The facilities are spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for with pride. Everything from the grounds to the common areas reflects a level of attention you don’t often see anymore. But what truly sets this airport apart is the people — especially Airport Manager Dave. He is, without exaggeration, one of the most incredible human beings I’ve ever met. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely giving, Dave goes above and beyond for every pilot and visitor who comes through. His kindness completely elevates the airport experience and makes Johnson County feel less like a simple stop and more like a community. If you’re flying through the area, do yourself a favor and land here. Johnson County Airport is the kind of place you don’t forget. ✈️✨

My favorite airport my favorite place to hang out. The flying is awesome the driving is awesome the food is good, the water is running through it. The service here is top notch the fellowship and freedom is refreshing. Dave the airport manager keeps the place looking pristine you can see his passion for aviation and people in every detail at the airport. You won’t find a more welcoming atmosphere, if your learning to fly this is a great spot to do that if you’re looking for a great fuel stop for your jet or cross country this is a spot worth your visit. You’ll feel peace as soon as you enter the airspace. That says something.

Best FBO that has operated the facility. I've lived in Johnson County my entire life, and have interacted with previous operators. Since the current FBO took his position he has greatly improved the airport, and actually brought it into the 21st century. He loves his job,and is truly dedicated to his position.

Incredible airport, with an awesome manager. Busy ga community because of the manager, he's keeping people involved in aviation in this community. Even has a loaner car you can rent.
