You must know where you are going and who you need to see. The ECP is like a fortress with no armed security. There are a lot of trucks so if you're skittish about driving around trucks this will be difficult for you. Other than for what I needed it was a seamless effort to get to my destination. You will need to arrange transportation to get back to the main gate if you are dropping off a vehicle.

I should be an option to give 0 Stars, any port delivery section you try to call will not answer the phone and the mailbox is too full to accept any more. My vehicle I imported has all the paperwork done and when my carrier went to go pick up the vehicle they said it was not ready, and didn't know when it would be ready then proceeded to do nothing, even with all the paper work done, all the fees paid, they won't release the vehicle to me. There is also no one to talk to directly to deal with the matter, just empty automated phones with full mail boxes. Don't waste your time importing anything here if you are doing it as a individual importer.

Logistics of this port are so outdated. Dinosaurs moving containers around, drivers having to sit for 5 to 6 hours to get one container out because logistically this port is so far behind it's not funny spends a couple million dollars on three large new cranes to unload more ships,, bigger ships and they can't move the product out of this port fast enough I've never seen such a port. Course they really don't care, loading and unloading of the ships the only thing that matters to them never mind the people that move these containers around so that they could bring more in get screwed out of time and money What a joke They need to go to Georgia Go up there and let that port show you how it's done to get trucks in and out This port is so outdated it's not even funny
