Direct fly from Boston to Honolulu. No complaints besides long trips. No issues, pleasant trip

Extremely poor customer check-in. Got to the counter with my ticket from online check-in to be told my ticket doesn’t exist. Then spent the next few hours being told we need to buy new tickets for the next week only for them to allow us in at the last call for boarding.

My daughter in law has been stranded in LAX as a result of HA 61 delayed for 6 hours and gate / terminal changes. She advised that ticket counter employees are dodging her when she approaches. This is absolutely ridiculous customer service and want to know what will be done for Linda Kury and the three teens traveling with her as a result of a ruined vacation.

WARNING: be aware that Hawaiian Air employees are only at the airport when the one HNL-BOS flight arrives or departs. This means that if you have an issue with your bags at a connecting airport, you’re screwed for at least 24 hours. No one answers the phone at the central baggage line or the Hawaiian baggage line at each airport (we called repeatedly all day & left several messages with no reply) and those are the only phone #’s that can help you. And the central baggage line is only open 8-4:30 Hawaii time - so if you land on the East Coast on a redeye flight, no one could possibly help you til 2 pm local time. With any other airline, you can go to customer service desk at baggage claim & speak to someone else. We went from HNL-JFK on Hawaiian then JFK-BOS on JetBlue. Hawaiian didn’t transfer our bags to JetBlue at JFK (confirmed by JetBlue). And once they service that one flight at JFK, everyone’s done & gone. Even though there is a JetBlue flight JFK-BOS every hour the rest of the day. So absolutely no one can help us until tomorrow and the few people we spoke to at reservations or on the chat or via text don’t seem to really care. Lesson learned: don’t fly Hawaiian to mainland cities.
