I have to give this trip to Honolulu a five star. We didn't have any issues whatsoever this time. We had a direct flight from Las Vegas to Honolulu round trip on a big Air bus 330. We carried on and we had no problems getting our boarding passes. Even though I had the boarding passes on my phone my wife prefers the paper print out. Smooth flight both ways and the service was excellent.

This is the worst place to check in to go home to Hawaii. (Las Vegas terminal 3) It is an embarrassment. First of all, no one shows up prior to about 2 hours before the flight. The line is devastating long and so unorganized. No one explains what to do, it's a big cluster. CEO of Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines should just observe the operation of this area and make some much needed corrections. I dread coming through there. I don't understand why it's so horrible? I love Hawaiian Airlines overall but this is the worst operation. Someone please make it better. I am going to some other Airline if they don't fix this by my next trip to Vegas. It's awful!! I will add photos on my next trip with time lines and the long lines and upset people.

Guess we don’t pay Hawaiian Airline’s employees to Check any one in early??!!! Why the hell we waiting in line for soooo long to get our luggage and tickets when we could’ve been through TSA and relaxing getting some food or something inside the airport already???!!!!!!

In Honolulu you do need to walk to the gates, but alot shorter than the other 'Mainland' departure side. The waiting areas are big. However, the Las Vegas side is a long walk to the gate (thus the mini rail ride) And, just be aware they do not have porters to help with your luggage from curbside! (Porters work for a company which the airlines hire as one porter told me - Hawaiian Airlines does not hire; thus no porters 😠.) The counter did not open until about 2.5 hours before departure for first class and premiere club, so be sure to get there early and wait in line. You can self check-in when the counter opens, too.

I love Hawaiian airlines. I like to fly here to vegas just to catch my flight out. I love how there are no fees to change either. Customer service on this airline is one of my favorites. I did notice that I got to the airport 3 hours early and there was no one to drop my bag off until about 2 hours before my flight left to hawaii, so food for thought I might not be so early next time.
