Awfully managed airport. Arrived 3 hrs 10 minutes prior to my flight, purchased Clear and went thru the “fast” lane and still couldn’t make it to my flight. IAH has suddenly shut down 3 out of its 5 security checkpoints and that created a total cluster. Lines wrapped around and spilled out of the airport building! Personnel had trouble organizing lanes and explaining people what to do and where to go. Their website tells you 90min wait time on security checkpoints, but in reality it is over 3 hours! And it is not holiday season yet. Construction never ends, organization and management sucks.

The Houston Airport is a more functional airport. It has well connection with the downtown Houston. Even then, it cannot be considered one of the best. I hope the communication improves. The efficiency of the airport is noteworthy. Most of the stuffs are also efficient. Dropping or picking up friends by car is not a problem. It has many dining options. There are many souvenir shops. In addition, I found the clubs are very decent. As it has a number of terminals, it is important to know the exact terminal.

10/2/25 - My Family and I always have a pleasant experience when flying in and out of Bush International airport. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The airline stays on their schedule and makes sure they send notices to any changes you may have.

Wonderful airport! All of the staff are great. Clear communication consistently even when flight gates change. Please be patient with the TSA as they’re not being paid right now 🙏 they were wonderful with me.

I had a good experience at this airport! It’s well-organized and super clean, including the restrooms, which were very clean every time I used them. I also really appreciated the variety of restaurant options, they have something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a sit down meal. The option to order ahead is great, making it so much easier to grab food without waiting in long lines. There are also plenty of seating areas, and I found the overall atmosphere to be good and comfortable.

Were were United airlines which are certainly roomier as far as legroom compared to other companies There is signage laid out quite clearly on how to get from one terminal to the next There were lots of food options. The flight into Houston arrived on time and the one to Fort Lauderdale from Houston left early We enjoyed this airport hub as a result

One of the largest airports in the USA, yet one of the worst managed. From arriving to departure the experience is gruesome. Arrival drop off and/or parking is complicated. Traffic police seem to only further confuse the experience. The check-in lobbies are chaotic, and finding the proper line to use whether it be pre check, first class or higher status check in line is in constant flux. Wheelchair assist is the WORST in country and the WORLD ! Wheelchair staff are ooorly organized and their attitudes are terrible. The whole wheelchair process is sad. In fact, I intentionally avoid certain flight routes to avoid certain wheelchair companies as it is traumatic with wheelchair supervisors yelling at passengers. The wheelchair service is contracted directly by the airlines with various companies - with the Hunt Leigh company that services international airlines like Qatar, Emirates and Etihad being the absolute WORST service company - so much so that I have written the company several times, and even spoken to their HR dept without any success to notice change in service, personnel or procedure. This service provided by Hunt Leigh is an absolute blemish to the airlines. Flights seem to leave the gate timely only to be on the Tarmac an additional 20-90 minutes. Baggage claim also is a very long wait. Take the time to leisurely stroll to baggage claim the approx 1 mile from the arrival gate to the baggage claim to enjoy a meal. Even with the 20 minutes one may take to arrive at baggage claim one will be surprised to learn that they have to wait an additional 20-40 minutes before the luggage appears at the carousel. Having written the above, the saving grace is that the airport does have a fantastic selection of restaurants and stores - however they are next to impossible to find as the airport is divided amongst 5 terminals that are not close to each other. The longes are small, overcrowded and not very luxurious. Moreover, the food variety at the lounges is not only poorly presented, but also not tasty. So my opinion is that it’s best to eat at one of the restaurants. Theoretically the 6-10 year remodel of the airport which is very ugly and only adds to the chaos is supposedly to address the above concerns - but …. My review is based on bi monthly travel for over 15 years thru this hub. If able, try to use Hobby Airport which is a much better experience.

We had a long layover I. Houston airport. It’s a nice airport with all the modern amenities. Lots of good restaurants. The CIBO outlets were extremely overpriced. The assistance staff is very nice. We had a good time.

My untitled flight was late and so they said between 9:45 and 9:55am I could board the flight and I turned on video camera and recorded it I was 2-3 mins late and the callous lady just said that you have to re book you’re flight and maybe they’ll have standby for you at 11:55am, I haven’t slept, ate, they made me throw away my drink I purchased in the airport and that made me more late and now I’m laying down waiting for the flight that I may be able to get in…. If not I have to leave at 230pm and I believe it’s because of all the running I had to do I didn’t have long to owe or get a drink which I had to throw away and finally a really nice guy got me in a flight for sure at 230 not 8:40 like the ride lady before was suggesting. Since I was on time I believe I’m going to file a complaint through untied for their in caring customer service attendant who obviously needs more and better training to do her job and maybe they’ll should not stop boarding 3 mins early

A very large airport with many terminals. It took some time to understand where to go, and many people around me were also confused by all the signs. As soon as I got off, there were plenty of places to eat and see. Baggage claim had so many arrival points; I'm glad my app told me where to go. It took a while to get my bag. Once I did, I had to ask to find the rideshare pickup space. Be prepared to walk and read signs first. It was easy to find; however, give yourself plenty of time to find the correct location and the right sign before you order your ride.
