The airport itself is fine clean, convenient, and easy to navigate for a smaller regional airport. Security and facilities are what you’d expect, and everything seems to function well. However, the gate check-in staff really drag down the experience. They came across as unprofessional, disorganized, and borderline rude. One check-in staff member has tattoos all over her face. It honestly felt like they pulled random people off the street and gave them a uniform. If the customer service was even halfway decent, this would be an easy 4-star airport. Unfortunately, the front-line staff set the tone, and here, it’s not a good one.

Man this place is small. But a quick in and out for sure. And the Gators Track & Field Team was on the flight. Rental car spaces are right out the door from luggage pick up. However, if you are on an early morning flight, take some food and coffee, there are no restaurants, coffee or snacks open before 5:00A. A flight boarding at 5:15A will have you hungry. Besides that everything was good.

A much improved experience since the renovation. TSA flows quickly and there is plenty of seating. There are now prepared food options after TSA and space to spread out. Being a smaller, regional airport things flow pretty well.

Easy to get through the airport. If you are flying delta though don't go to the bathroom after your flight or you will miss your bags on the carousel. Then staff is rude when you retrieve it. Also note to the airport. Reviews should apply to the general customer experience at the airport, not just the facility.

One of the best airports as it's well-organized, clean, and has very accommodating staff members. My husband and I have taken 4 flights out of this location, and so far, we are satisfied with each one. Waiting areas are spacious enough to sit far away from other people, and the restrooms are conveniently located near those areas. I fly Delta, but other airlines with smaller aircraft also use this airport. Parking: short-term and long-term available. Rates vary according to parking length and (if I recall correctly) vehicle type. I remember paying $30 for our sedan to park for 3 days, but this was back in December 2022. Check their website for more updated rates.

I have always loved the Gainesville Airport until today. Arrived at the check in counter at 5:30am for a 6:13am flight. They said sorry too late. I was the only one standing there. Literally no one else at any counter. She looked at the supervisor as he just nodded “no”. There were 6 employees standing behind the counter and looked as if the were thinking “sucks to be you”. Then she re routed me on different flight that messed my timing all up. On stand by for connecting flight. Ok, sucks but could be worse. Then to get into the gate area and the gate attendants are just yelling across the lobby all the rules and regulations about boarding with bags and groups. She was definitely enjoying her authority. You know I get rules and all but we pay good money to fly and should be treated like customers not prisoners. Just didn’t feel good at all and that sucks because I have always enjoyed GNV. I have been treated better at ATL, JIA, CLT. They get a new set of gates and a parking garage and all the sudden they act like their all that!

It’s a nice cozy good size airport. Relatively on time, very professional TSA staff, and friendly environment. They have Delta and American flights mainly. I love Delta, as they are respecting your time and money.
