I just completed an instrument Provence’s check with Ferry Direct. My instructor was Saul and he was great. Really put me through the wringer and made me sweat but also helped make me a better pilot. The owner Nathan was there and helped review things. They are firm believers in recurrent training similar to the airlines and they are right. If someone who flys daily needs recurrent training, why don’t we do it as general aviation pilots?

Full transparency, this was my first time using a plane ferry. However, I judge businesses based on their communication, reasonable pricing for the work, overall workmanship, and proper task completion. With that said Nathan & Saul were beyond incredible. Upon pickup, Nathan inspected the plane to confirm all was as described. Pre flighted and confirmed all was well. He also took extensive notes along the way and provided my local mechanic a full breakdown of things he noticed along the way. Nathan made the more than 900NM trip in less than favorable weather in a single engine plane with no autopilot (sorry Nathan). He communicated consistently along the way. I can go on forever! Upon arrival Saul met us and provided inflight training to help familiarize me with the new plane. I can’t thank these guys enough for their professionalism, expertise, and just being cool!
