Well organized, but did not open until 3 hours before departure. For international flights relatively late, because you are usually much earlier at the airport. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful....

We had the worst experience with this airline. Never again. the Lufthansa group and their airlines are just a joke these days. I don't know how many times I called them, their customer service reps are SO rude and incompetent. They even hung up on me several times.

Lufthansa was an A+ airline but not anymore since eurowings took them over, now no one cares, flights cancelled at a moments notice, forget trying to get someone on the phone, in person is almost worse I had to wait for nearly 2hrs inline to get help. When it was my turn, they were not helpful and didn't care if I missed my river cruise. They canceled the second leg of my flight without even notifying me. It was a nightmare.

I booked an international flight in Jan 2020 for travel in June 2020. Needless to say, travel was not possible due to the pandemic. I called Lufthansa in April 2020 and was informed by their agent that I could cancel at that time and receive a FULL refund. It would takes weeks but he said FULL refund. Lufthansa likely even recorded the conversation as I always allow that option. I patiently waited and realized that end of May 2020, I was refunded only the tax on the bill, not the entire amount. When I called, I was rudely informed that was what I was entitled and I should take it up with customer service and email them if I was not satisfied. I have had about a dozen emails with Lufthansa customer service (they will not take a phone call). They insist that they will not process the entire refund, even after apologizing about the interaction of their agent who made the mistake. Lufthansa has also refused to provide me with the call recording. I had other family members who were to travel on the same flight, they received a full refund. This is beyond ridiculous. I travel internationally at least once a year and have always chosen Lufthansa. I am a loyal Star Alliance member. I am upset and disappointed that a well-known international airline looks for ways to cheat their customers. Itβs not even as if the flight took off. Where is the compassion and integrity for these big corporations? Destroy the common man while their CEOs rake in the big bucks! Never again, Lufthansa. For your greed, you lost a valued customer. You would have made ten times more from my family, friends and me if you had been considerate. You are the loser, not me.

We had a Business trip where we had to use them twice. The economy is tight, but the service on the flight over was quite proficient and helpful. We had with the owners our eight year old who asked to see the pilot and also got as a treat a few little goodies. They tried quite hard to make sure the little guy was all set. On the way back decided to increase the ticket to higher seats. This was probably the best decision and well, well worth every penny. Yes on way to Germany the service was great and it did not have a full flight which guessing made a bit of difference. On the way back to the states, it was a full flight and needed the space. But the reason writing this review is not to challenge any of the other experiences, but to shine a light on a very specific employee who should be recognized as she did her job better than any first class or business class attendant we have ever seen. The way she took care of her area of passengers was impeccable and timely. We have flown all over the world in many different kinds of aircraft or flight attendants. Ebru, WE believe is her name was simply amazing and we truly thank you so much for helping make the flight back to the states awesome. The entire crew from Germany also seemed to be effective. The only mishap that we had on the entire return flight was when they allowed the children and families to board the plane. The airport personnel forgot to attach the walkway to the plane. They were very effective on the plane though. Airport staff did provide Easter candy for all passengers prior to and on the plane.
