    I didn't read the reviews before booking. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had a good night's sleep. The hotel is run down and well past its prime. When I arrived there was a badly damaged car with a broken headlight and at least 20 pieces of duct tape holding the front end together. Had I known it the manager on duty's car, I would have taken a picture. I saw her getting in the car when I went to get some things out of my car. Why is she parking in the fire zone? I understand why they push checking in with the app. The manager and the guy at the front desk couldn't handle checking in one person and a telephone call at the same time. She started to check me in but 2 minutes in she took the phone out of the guy's hand and showed me her back and ignored me for at least 5 minutes. When I asked her to finish checking me in she told me that she was on the phone with the customer first. If that was the case, which it wasn't, why didn't she have the gentleman check me in?! She later explained to me that checking in with the app doesn't work the first time. Why then did I receive an email pushing contactless check in?! This place has no business using the Hilton name. It's an upscale Motel 6. Clean and comfy but in major need of an update including the front desk!

    Initially checked in around eight p m 29 p m on.October, the eighth for checkout, on october the ninth. I have to enter in the room.Strong smell of mildew asks to change rooms stated.There were no other options available.Front desk associate was. Kind and polite and stated there were no rooms available. Since the hotel was not refundable, I had to stay.I just traveled from florida to north carolina.Eventually fell asleep sometime after twelve.After midnight. Was woken up somewhere after 2:30 AM with intense itching got up turned on, the lights looked had multiple. Welts found the bed bug as depicted in the image. Was told I would be refunded, still have not been refunded stated. It would take 3 to 4 business days to make a determination. The reservation was booked through price line. And the hotel refused to refund when I checked out somewhere between just before three a m I checked out. Mind you when you check out at that time.You don't check into other hotels because today you gotta wait till three or four p m.The next day and I just traveled seven hundred miles. This is a major hotel brand to think that just or for p r alone that they wouldn't just refund you that they have a guest checkout.Don't give a complimentary stay and deny to refund.Be leery of this corporation. I want to emphasize that this was a king's size accessible.My fiance is in a wheelchair, and we had to check out at three a m.And then continue to drive after we just drove for 7 hundred miles. Keep in mind that there were Ada laws and rights and this is one of the top hotel chains in the world and they couldn't give a complimentary night to individual guests.Based on these circumstances. Mind youThe hotel management stated that they won't refund the staff stated when checking out that they would give the refund no problem. It's amazing how a corporation will treat their customers like this. Be warry!

    Mega bed bug infestation. 2 out of 3 rooms booked had bed bugs actively crawling on the beds upon opening the hotel room door. Thankfully the receptionist was understanding and helpful- she didn’t charge for the rooms and we immediately booked somewhere else.

    Stayed at the DoubleTree in Rocky Mount, NC for 2 nights while visiting family and enjoying a weekend getaway. The room was clean but could use some updates. It was missing a nightstand, and the wood on the TV stand with the fridge and microwave was peeling and had some mold. What surprised me most was that housekeeping didn’t clean the room during our stay—we were told they only clean after checkout. We had to leave towels outside the door and pick up new ones at the front desk. Overall, it was an okay stay, but I expected a little more from a DoubleTree.

    We recently stayed at the DoubleTree in Rocky Mount, NC, and had a mixed experience. The standout positives were definitely the friendly, attentive staff—both at the hotel and the adjoining Texas Steakhouse. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and helpful, which made a big difference in our stay. Our room was clean and had excellent air conditioning, which was a relief, especially since the hallways were noticeably warm due to the AC being down. The beds were super comfortable, and we got a great night’s sleep. That said, the property is showing signs of age and could really use some updating. One of the two elevators was out of service, and the pool was closed, which was disappointing. As for the restaurant, while convenient, the food was mediocre at best. Overall, the hotel has potential, and the staff truly elevates the experience—but a few repairs and some refreshing would go a long way in bringing it up to the standard you expect from a DoubleTree.
