We flew with Windy City Aviation for a Discovery Flight and got to take the controls of a little Cessna 172S which was really sweet. We had a great instructor/pilot that showed us around the northern Chicagoland area.

Well organized GA airport that is relatively close to downtown Chicago and the northern suburbs. Private jet and light GA traffic can be dense at times, but the tower staff do a really impressive job coordinating (especially given the proximity to ORD Bravo airspace)

I used the airport a while ago but had great service at Signature. The tower was very cautious for me as I was in a small plane with some rain etc in the area but no storms. I am glad they cared and when I was off the ground they and the other controllers in the area gave me all the assistance you could ask for for a safe flight. I had no problems blending in with the big traffic above me.
