This small GA airport charges high ramp fee. $30 for just a quick turn-around. Not a big deal right. But then I find they have some third party company contracted to bill you for a surprise landing fee on top of it. How they do that and stick it to just transient traffic I don't know. Just be aware and avoid it. A quick stop at a tiny GA airport with minimal services and barely a place to park and fuel and they are going to try to hit you with $50. And they are going to hide $20 of it from you until later.

The staff are friendly and helpful, quick to make things right if there is any miscommunication, and will make fresh cookies or popcorn on request if needed! Itβs also nice to have a small airport provide rental car pick up and drop off onsite. Curtesy cars available too for short trips.

New owners have implemented landing fees for all aircraft not actually based at Boerne Stage. Just thinking about doing a touch and go and leaving, no matter, they'll have a collection company track you down using video, ADSB, transponder, or ATC communications to get an N-number. Airport owners are in litigation with Threshold Ranch homeowners to restrict their access to runway in violation of their deeded easement guaranteeing their access. This airport went from being a GA friendly country airport to a toxic cash cow for owners catering to corporate jets.

Railroad ties have been put up along the runway staging the scene for an accident. An aircraft had an accident within 60 days of putting them there, however, still not taken down. No lights at night, so very easy to damage aircraft on these. Beware and on the lookout for unsafe railroad ties.

The nicest people you'll meet at the fbo. Really, I could have stayed all day to chat. Beautiful building, too. However, I think it's important to note the landing and parking fees. This airfield is private but open to the public. To land a small single piston for roughly an hour, there is a landing fee (~$30) and a parking fee ($30) unless 10 gallons of fuel are bought at $6.10/g. The fuel purchase is clearly the more economical answer, so it brings your total cost to ~$91 for a bathroom stop. These fees hurt young aviators who are counting every penny to build time, and are on the very high end of the fee scale for the experience. Perhaps the owners do not actually want traffic at the field, and this is why they are charging what they charge. I would give one star if it wasn't for the exceptional people at the fbo.
