I was held hostage by a nasty supervisor over an $80 bag charge. I have a valid credit card that gives me free bags, and somehow the system had an issue with a duplicate. She would not allow my bags to go home unless I paid, even after giving her my card to prove that I should get free bags. On top of that I had to wait half an hour for their decision to hold my bags hostage, why I don't know. How about " We're so sorry sir that our systems are wrong and we will be happy to fix it while you fly home, and no charge for the bags". This is what they did on my outbound flight. Guess she forgot to attend that customer service class. Sorry, American, was with Delta for 30 years and gave you a try. This was my last flight and will cancel my advantage credit card.

Fairly organized but have a terrible habit of overbooking planes and giving an attitude if they make a mistake on seat changes on the aircraft. The Gate Agent working Gate D9 for American today was having a tough day being accusatory for their own mistake on Main Cabin Extra seat overbooking and moving me to seat 22A. I approached the gate Agent for the 10:11 AM AA 707 flight well before boarding about the now incorrect boarding pass and was told it was fine. Once boarded, the entire flight was almost late due to me being singled out for not checking in, which turned out to be patently false. Never once was there an apology or an offer to give me the seat originally paid for by me, to which their customer who bumped me out of it, never arrived for. Customer service disaster 101. Do better.

They charged my luggage additional $100 on top of the current charge for 6lbs over. At the same time they re-assigned all my families’ seats from row 12th to the last row so that they can make money from people upgrading their seats. We did pay extra from Travelocity to pick our seat. The rude ticket counter guy said since we did not check-in 24 hours before so they wont honor our seats. What’s a scam company. Rotten from the core!

Stewardess over served the group that was already drunk when they say down in the emergency isle, to where they were spilling their drinks on the floor and demanding replacements, and they were served more after they promised to give a 5star review. Never flying on American airlines again, they don't take safety seriously

Over 4 hours delayed, shuttle to Kitsap closed down at 1220 am, entire airport of rentals sold out. I will never travel American again so help me God. It's 2 am, American gave me the run around on the phone and I'm coming from the East Coast so it may as well be 5 am when I should have been home by 10 (1.5 hour drive included)

Best trip ever I have to say. Plane was delayed due to mechanical iyem they fixed, so I missed my connecting flight. It happens, but they did a great job communicating with us via overhead speaker on plane, text, and email. What I appreciated most was they auto booked me on the next flight at connection location seeing I was going to miss it and when I landed and out of airplane mode got all the updates via text and email. Luggage was a final destination as well so didn't miss a beat!

American Airlines has lied sent me to a destination that I would have never made my connecting flight before I got on 1st plane said they would take care of me and did the opposite. Please use another Airlines before using them .Not a good place to do business with. I'm hoping you make another choice before using them they really lied to me And not trying at all to rectify
