Awful experience Saturday morning around 9:30. The store was packed, but only one cashier was open while several associates just stood around. A supervisor or manager even saw the chaos at checkout, turned around, and walked away like it wasn’t his problem. What should have been a quick in-and-out trip for socks (before a 10:30 game) turned into a 25-minute wait. To top it off, the cashier acted like checking me out was an inconvenience. Completely unacceptable.

I bought a blow up queen mattress. It. Would not stay inflated so I took it back. I did not have my receipt but I had my bank statement.Were I purchased it on my debit card all I wanted was a nether , a store credit. The cashier said I could not return or get a refund or a different box? I asked why not. She said people are using them and returning them? I said I'd like another one maybe this is defective? She said did you contact the manufacturer? I said no idea just like a different one. She said sorry we can't do that...I proceeded to leave and I said keep it what am I going to do with a defective mattress...I walked out very upset. I will never go back ...

I've never shopped at an Academy store before. Honestly for me it was not organized or in order. Seemed in disarray. Possibly they got a truck or something. I went for an advertised item that they did not have in stock or even an empty rack for. I was disappointed. My son knocked some Crocs off the display and we were putting them back up and a very nice employee said they would take care of it. That was the only employee interaction we had to speak of.
