Reviews for Boat Getaway early November 7-10th 2026 Positives: Easy boarding on and off Specialty dining great Good food overall, but we did not do buffets Staff is amazing! I’d like to point out two individuals who stood out to us on the ship. MINELLIE Bartender at the atrium bar and Ramon server. Big room 9878 Overall smooth, cruising experience Never seemed crowded on the ship except that bars trying to get drinks obviously O’sheeshans restaurant sit down service no reservation included! Awesome! Good food fast open very late. No set dining time in the general restaurants. Negatives: Bar wait time. Not very easy to get a drink. Biggest busiest bar only had two bartenders. No bottled water easily available on ship cost six dollars per bottle! Other ships hand out water bottles nonstop. The only water you can get is in cups with ice from bars or restaurants pro tip bring an empty water bottle! Island under construction, so you had to tender to the island and only a portion was open so keep in mind it can take a long time to get to the island and back. 1.5hr to get on island. FYI Food on the island is not that great.. eat on board first or after.

It was good, not awesome,I wasnt blown away like I thought.Great if you are a foodie. The chocolate martini is to die for.Thw excursions are expensive, and not a whole lot going on if you do some excursions.Payed 500 dollars for two people to Atlantis waterpark, had to meat at 830 a.m, called for wakeup up call, didn't receive one, slept late, missed it.The staff is awesome, was looking forward to lounging in pool, with an umbrella drink, never was able to get in pool, packed in like sardines, standing room only. They say you'll never get bored, million things to do. Pool, hot tub, arcade, casino, they are made to look much bigger in pictures,I've been in jail cells bigger than the arcade, VERY small casino, but nice and not to packed. The seco d island, which is their island, will be awesome, next year, when done developing.Building waterpark.pools ,resort,.The videos look like it will be unbelievable, next year. But there was nothing to it when I was there. The local straw market they talk about ,three way overpriced booths with all commercial souvenirs, nothing local.Disappointed ,because wasn't wowed like I thought, never done anything like that before.Beautiful views,Got the package where all food and drinks are paid for,but you are charged and taxed on everything, everyday,Cost me way more money then you think THE price you pay at beginning for cruise,,when you think you are actually paying for the cruise, nope, just the start,be prepare for a lot more out of pocket expense.Overall, nice boat, but not spectacular boat and slightly on the boring side. out,Two extremely overpriced small

My first trip on NCL and it was fantastic. 4 night cruise from Miami to the Bahamas. Sailing was smooth, food was great, the shows were fabulous, especially Blazing Boots. The singers/dancers were top notch. Out balcony room was clean and comfortable. Pools were great, not too crowded (except the at sea day) I only have 2 areas for improvement to mention. The chefs at the Tappenyaki restaurant. PLEASE stop banging and singing so loud! I spent half the time woth my fingers in my ears. This is not a typical tappenyaki. I did not enjoy the atmosphere, but our chef Richard, was great, as was the food. The only other point was the service. It was a bit slow. Mostly drink service or even at the bar. Even when there was no line up, the bartenders seemed more interested in taking than serving drinks. We will be back!

A lot of traffic to get to the drop off spot. Plenty of porters to take your luggage. We were priority for check in so we only had to wait about 5 minutes to check in and get our key cards . Friendly service.

I would give this cruise on Norwegian, Gateway, a C+ or B minus. The ship was a little smaller, but it was comfortable. Though it was difficult to walk around the outside edge because it was too narrow to walk comfortably. Our major complaint was the food was not good at all. We tried all the restaurants looking for an exception and didn’t find one. Our best description would be cafeteria in taste and quality. The service was good and they tried to put lipstick on a pig, but there was no getting around. The food was very low quality. Stirrup K was nice with beautiful water and clean beaches. It was a lovely stop. We don’t think we will use this cruise line again just on the quality of food, but we think for people with low budget. This is still a quality cruise line if food is not a high priority.
