Small but very decent airport. Clean, well-organised, easy to navigate and kind, helpful staff. I first arrived at MDT in heavy snow and there was no problem with landing or infrastructure. Some shops on site, so you'll be good. It is connected to the city by public transport as well. Mostly domestic flights (Washington, Chicago, Denver, Dallas etc.) but for me it was more than enough.

Solo traveling mom here… with my 18 month old baby from Harrisburg MDT- ST. Pete FL PIE. Flying Allegiant Air, which I often do for convenience and direct flights. But one of the biggest downsides to this airline is I always feel like they are “Nickle and diming” every opportunity they can. But today was a different experience (THANKFULLY). From the moment I checked my bags the woman at the front desk was very helpful. Nissia Hoffman (noted from the badge) helped me check my bags, then got me my tags for the stroller. After we got through security, i missed the announcement about gate checked items … she found me over entertaining my baby and came up to me and picked up the stroller and brought it to the gate. She was patient, kind and again very helpful. By the time boarding started, I was one of the last to board… she came up to me and let me know I had to consolidate my bags as I had one too many. With the baby in the carrier and my hands completely full, she took it upon herself to help me with everything. She made sure I had my boarding passes and everything I needed and the bags consolidated. I travel very frequently and the airports have become somewhere that I feel under pressure and often where everyone is just after the money to charge you for x,y,z…. This employee is different and really truly went above and beyond to make sure I was made to feel seen, assisted in several ways and respected. Thank you again Harrisburg airport for employing someone who belongs in the business of customer service and not just another body. More importantly, thank you to Nissia for being the helping hand to a traveling mom on her own who needed help but never likes to ask for it, you made a long day and a delayed flight less stressful.

Nice and convenient airport I use when I don't want to fly out of Baltimore/Washington. Easy to navigate and parking, ticketing, TSA and baggage claim are within a reasonable walk of each other. Not a lot in the way of dinning options but you won't go hungry. I do suggest if you are flying out on a high volume day such as Monday or a holiday, get here early as the security lines can build up.

I live in Lancaster and it’s a short 25 minute drive you can park and walk to the gate in minutes. So convenient. Parking is easy and affordable at a daily rate of $20. They have a great little massage store in the Terminal by the Delta Gate. Also to note they have a Phillips Seafood Restaurant and a Subway.

Great experience in the airport. However, the lighting and signage to/from long term parking is abysmal or nonexistent. That roundabout doesn’t help matters. Large clear signs and actual street lights are needed. As it is you feel like you’re driving to/from a backwater bumpkin facility.
