Charming, historic, little airport with 7 gates, one baggage claim carousel, and one TSA security gate that does not open until 10:00 am for the first American Airline flight at 11:20 am. One security line for both normal and TSA PreCheck passengers, but you do get a red sign for PreCheck to avoid having to take off your shoes and put them through X-ray. Restaurant/coffee shop/bar/gift shop through security. Good Lavender White Chocolate Mocha coffee. Bathrooms were clean and located near Baggage Claim plus near the restaurant/gift shop before you exit security. Rental car office inside the airport before Baggage Claim. Avis/Budget and others. The Avis representative was nice and asked if I had ever rented a car in Erie before. I hadn't, so he showed me on the map to walk left out of the terminal to the blue covered area to pick up my car and to return it into the shared rental car lot to the right of where I picked it up. Fortunately, it was closer than it looked on the map since it was snowy that day. Big tip: When exiting the rental car lot, make a right turn and go towards the terminal to exit the airport. Otherwise, you will end up in short/long term parking or going the wrong way on the one way road into the airport - Both of which I did. Two big signs "Airport Exit" pointing to the right road (not the parking lots) would have been helpful for especially directionally impaired people like me who was using a driving app but still managed to take two wrong turns and in spite of the "One Way" sign that I saw when I dropped off my car. 8-) Landing was very exciting with the Winter storm with almost no visibility and winds from the lake causing the wings to dip and and down by several feet. God heard from me that day big time. Kudos to the pilots who land at Erie airport - they got to be among the best! I thought the Hilton Head and Hawaiian airports were the smallest I had been to, but Erie is now in first place. I enjoyed seeing a bit of Americana flight and aviation history in the historic Erie International Airport terminal.

This is like my new favorite airport. There's only 7 gates. It's so easy to move through. Everything is clean and well cared for from the restroom to the cafe. I appreciate this place when I'm use to places like atl where you got a run from one side to the other.

My first time flying with Erie Airport and this is a bad 1st impression. Piedmont system updates overnight and now we can't take off because no one was working to make sure the system would be good to go I understand systems not updating or acting properly but for a while airport with people waking up at 3 am to make sure they are here on time and now waiting for a flight to be cleared that should have taken off 2 hours ago. I won't be flying out of here again

First time flying in to this Airoort and left good impression. Charming, historic, little airport with 7 gates, one baggage claim carousel, and one TSA American Airline is the only carrier flying out from here to charlotte, Chicago and one more destination. One security line for both normal and TSA PreCheck passengers, but you do get a red sign for PreCheck to avoid having to take off your shoes and put them through X-ray. Bathrooms were clean and located near Baggage Claim plus near the restaurant/gift shop before you exit security. Rental car office inside the airport before Baggage Claim. Avis/Budget and others. Landed at late night as flight was delayed departing from Charlotte and I got to know that it’s most of the time delayed by an hour or two. Big tip. If you are business travelers don’t wait till last minute to fly out from here as it’s not many options you will not find any flight. I had to drive to Pittsburgh to go to my next job to Roanoke VA.

Probably one of the easiest airports to fly out of as the parking isn't complicated or far, and there's not usually too many people here. Can't go that many places from here, but at least there's some new flights being added. TSA is pretty quick to get through, so you don't need to be here 2 hours early like most airports recommend.
